Resumo: The hosting organization is a branch of a leisure center situated in the center. It has several departments with different focus like on painting, science, drama, yoga, computer science etc. The volunteer will work in the Art Department: painting and ceramics.

This department holds regular art and ceramic classes for children around the age of 2-18 as well as for adults. Besides that it occasionally organizes weekend courses or workshops. There are also some classes which support handicapped children and children with poor social backgrounds. Apart from that, it holds exhibitions in one gallery which is available mostly to schools and young artists.

The organization is looking for an art-skilled volunteer who will work mainly with children and teenagers. Our classes are focused on drawing, painting, graphic and ceramic. We expect the volunteer to help us with various art workshops and also with organizing summer camps for children. Attending occasional art sessions outside of Luzanky may be a part of the volunteer´s work too.

We prefer a volunteer who generally likes to work, motivate and inspire children as well as teenagers. It is important for the volunteer to have a positive attitude towards arts.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: There are 8 ESC volunteers working at different places on individual projects, meeting every week on common meetings with the coordinator and from time to time with all the colleagues to evaluate and plan the project. The organization hosts and coordinates ESC volunteers also in other organizations (focused on environmental education, preschool education etc.), so all hosted and coordinated volunteers will meet during the project and can visit workplaces and events of each other.

The volunteers are working 5 hours a week together with the coordinator on tasks connected with their integration into the organization and presentation of their presence in our organization. Those tasks will be mainly related to the promotion of Solidarity corps program. Common trainings organized by the organization outside the center are possible.

Volunteers can visit some of the courses and events organized by Luzanky for free (circus training for adults, ceramics, yoga etc.).

Horário: 35 hours weekly:

25 hours of work for Lidicka (art activities, help with planning and organizing public events etc.)
5 hours of preparation and meeting with coordinator from Luzanky and other volunteers hosted or coordinated by Luzanky
5 hours for volunteer´s common/personal projects

Condições: Volunteers get their pocket money and food allowance monthly (at the beginning of each month), and they are provided with a card for Brno public transport.

Volunteers live in rented flats, two volunteers per one room. Distance to your working place from the flat can be around 30 minutes by public transport, even a bit more. Getting affordable accommodation is very difficult in recent years, so please be ready for described conditions of accommodation if you apply for our project.
