Resumo: For almost 20 years, the hosting organization has seen itself as a driving force in youth issues with direct contact to all stakeholders in the region. Based on many years of experience and the successes of previous youth projects in the organization, the vision can be summarised as follows To strengthen and promote regional and community cohesion among young people. The association also works with adult stakeholders and multipliers in the youth sector. These two levels are increasingly being brought together. The aims are to improve the quality of life and to tie young people to the region through lowthreshold counselling and mobile youth work.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
The volunteer should be open-minded and have a certain curiosity about working with young people. The
volunteer should also enjoy working in a team. The field of youth work offers good opportunities to bring your
own interests, creativity and enthusiasm to the work. A certain affinity for the creative use of social media should
also be present.
Tarefas: The ESK volunteers should get to know the activities of the organization (especially the open youth work) and implement their own activities in the region, analogous to the defined learning goals. Planned activities include
- Mobile Youth Work: The volunteers are on the road with the youth workers in Mobile Youth Work. This includes outreach work in public spaces, but also site-based youth work in drop-in centres and youth spaces. In the beginning, volunteers can get to know the process and the young people and then contribute their own ideas. For example, volunteers can organise actions or workshops in drop-in centres.
- Co-organisation of events: The organization offers a variety of events for youthrelevant actors in the region (regional youth forums, networking meetings, etc.). Volunteers can gain an insight into the planning and implementation of such events and then contribute to the events themselves.
- Accompaniment in the communities: Youth work also includes multiplier work. Volunteers will accompany youth workers to meetings with youth councillors, mayors and other multipliers in the region.
- Team meetings: Volunteers take part in team meetings in the institution. This gives them an insight into the quality development processes of the association.
- Workshops: Volunteers get to know the workshops offered by the organisation and how they are implemented in different settings (school, drop-in centre, etc.). In addition, volunteers can bring in their own topics and, if they wish, plan and run workshops themselves.
- Digital youth work: Volunteers will experience how digital tools and social media are used in youth work.
During their stay, they can create their own social media content (e.g. a social media campaign about their stay in the facility).
