Resumo: (ESC is Volunteering Teams)
The hosting organization is an association working for the integration and social inclusion of migrants and refugees in local host communities by offering non-formal education, sports and leisure activities, and various forms of legal and social assistance. The organization promotes the inclusion and empowerment of migrants and refugees by engaging both host country nationals and third country nationals in our activities. The organization has set up four non-formal schools in refugee camps and urban areas during the last four years, and currently manages four spaces in the town of Polikastro where we provide services including educational early child development, language learning, sports and recreational activities, psychosocial support, legal and asylum support, and health assistance to the refugee community.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: The volunteer will be carrying out his/her voluntary service in Polikastro, Greece. The activities have a common theme: refugees, awareness on this topic. The target group will be kids, youth and adult people in Polikastro and surroundings. Furthermore, volunteers will help staff in the Project Department
To prepare national and international projects, search for partners, work on budgets, support a working stuff in daily tasks. Also, a volunteer will be involved in teaching English to minors, migrants, refugees, local Community.

The regular timetable may change according to the activities planned. Volunteers will have two days off per week and two days on holidays per month.

The exact activities in which each volunteer takes part will depend on their individual preferences and interests, and they will be able to design, in part, their own projects and activities.

The role of the volunteers will be to provide assistance and support to the professional staff without ever replacing a paid member of staff or carrying out any task which requires professional knowledge or expertise.
