Resumo: The hosting organization is on the hill, near to the forest. So, many learning activities are organised
outside.
The organization was initiated by parents for their children. 8 teachers are responsible for education of 85 children. The school works according to reform-pedagogical principles (Montessori, Piaget), so the work is oriented at the needs and wishes of children. Learning methods are based on practical work and projects: Learning by doing means that we prepare a surrounding which enables children to make their own experiences, acquire cultural techniques and develop social competences. Also, they handle rules and borders in a democratic way.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Requirements: responsible and motivated to help students, and assist teachers; open-minded, active, initiative; able to deal with children of different age and social backgrounds; interest in alternative pedagogy; specific skills in arts, music, handicrafts, sports.

Tarefas: Volunteers' daily tasks are assisting in the classroom; assisting during lunch break; assisting in the afternoon care; participating in excursion and outdoor activities.

Condições: Volunteers will stay in an apartment and have his/her own room. We will provide a ticket to use the public transport. Volunteers will have breakfast and snack in school from Monday to Friday and lunch from Monday to Thursday. Additionally, volunteers will get monthly allowance for food.
Pocket money for Austria is 6 € / day.
