Resumo: (refugees)
Works within the refugee team with a focus on vulnerable groups. The volunteer will participate in two main projects, Guiding friends for refugees is a project that builds bridges between cultures of people living in Iceland and those who have recently received international protection. On the other hand, Tölum saman is a project that trains those who have recently received international protection in Icelandic.

Perfil: ● Age: 18-30
● High level of English
● Spanish, Arabic, Russian or Ukrainian knowledge is a strong advantage
● Be able to demonstrate cultural awareness and work with language barriers
● Mature, open minded
● Independent and a self-starter
● Relevant education background

Tarefas: ● Supports the Refugee team with the current projects, the development of future initiatives and in the preparation of materials for interview hours with refugees as well as takes part in the events.
● Registers information regarding services provided for refugees in the database SalesForce as well as data from prospect clients.
● Participates in the preparation and implementation of courses, meetings and seminars organised by the Refugee team.
● Works on volunteer outreach, organises activities to recruit volunteers for the refugee projects.
● Responds to external queries from third party organisations, volunteers, and clients in a timely manner for questions regarding the team projects and services.
● Is proactive when looking for ways to improve and design strategies for the projects of the Refugee team.
● Performs specific tasks assigned by the team leader.
● Conducts a qualitative oriented survey for participants of the refugee projects to understand the impact and satisfaction of services.
● Helps the refugee team staff members in conducting interviews, transcriptions, desk review research and drafting of documents for research purposes.
● Updates and monitors the Facebook groups in relations to the team projects.
● Performs check-ins with participants of the team projects and endline evaluations.
