Resumo: (environment)
We are a young association, even though the members of the association have over 10 years of experience in the field of environmental protection and landscape protection. By doing permaculture courses and direct and indirect experiences in the environmental sector, we now want to stimulate volunteers from all over Europe that it is possible to combine technology with respect for the environment to reduce the carbon footprint. So our main activities are particularly environmental, but also cultural, youth and intergenerational, promoting young people in rural and urban environments degraded, creating equal opportunities and access to them where it is more difficult to access resources and services. In this regard, we are particularly sensitive to those who live like us in geographically isolated areas. Several members of our organization have participated and promoted various projects in other EU countries.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
• Knowledge and working experience in permaculture or environmental protection.
• Creative and proactive person
• Basic skills of Italian language
• A friendly, communicative and active attitude
• Wishing of development interpersonal relationships
• Open-minded and with a responsible attitude
• Strong motivation to join this experience

Tarefas: Tasks that the volunteers will have the opportunity to perform fall within the follow topics:
• Territorial cooperation and cohesion
• Rural development and urban regeneration
• Climate action, environment and nature protection
In detail, Kalistratia odv each person carries out different activities. Who plants trees, who writes articles about the environment, who studies how to reduce the carbon footprint, who teaches children how to respect the environment through non-formal activities, who builds and designs with the rules of construction. In addition to this, we meet daily to talk about how to better spread culture in the protection of the environment. Our team wishes to offer opportunities for meetings by promoting greater synergy between the local population and young volunteers who represent the European themes of EU solidarity. The role of volunteers is to follow these activities voluntarily, leaving them free to choose a particular job as a volunteer.

The organization combines passion for nature with the ideal of social development and especially in disadvantaged areas of southern Italy. Encouraging the formation and knowledge of permaculture and green building through projects and workshops that seek to "create business" and support everyone. It starts from the principle that staying in small reality in countryside, cultivating, loving the territory allows you to appreciate your own roots without recriminating other places and other cultural diversity.

So, the organization want to create a social agriculture program, educate in eco-sustainability, promote a more conscious way of living the foundations of our future. In June and July many days will be dedicated to supporting the preparation of the great festival of eco-sustainability. Moreover, during the week the activities will be mainly in the early morning until noon, as we are early birds enjoying working outdoor. In the afternoon possible social activities with the community. Depending on the weather conditions, the activities may vary as we mainly do outdoor permaculture activities.

Condições: ACCOMODATION: SHARED APARTMENT (ROOM SHARING WITH VOLUNTEERS OF SAME SEX)
POCKET MONEY: 150 EUR/MONTH
FOOD: 50€ + FRESH GOODS COMING FROM THE COMMUNITY GARDEN AND COMMUNITY GROCERY PROVIDED BY THE ORGANISATION. We wish to promote as much as possible community life among the volunteers, with common shopping list, community cooking and healthy and sustainable diets according the permaculture principles.
TRAVEL BUDGET: 275 EUR (or 320€ for GREEN TRAVELS)
