The volunteers will give an added value to the normal activities of our office (taking a higher level of internationalism, …). They could care about initiatives that the staff is not able to carry out (promoting the relevance of the knowledge of different languages, helping in translating the web site in different languages, tandem languages with the interpreter faculty of the University of Trieste, …)

In the office we work a lot with foreigner association so it will be important that the volunteers will speak a little bit of English. If he could speak other languages (German, Slovene, Croatian, French, …), it will be consider a plus. As our organization is also a sending organization, we will use the volunteers’ experiences to promote the European Voluntary Service using the peer to peer communication. the volunteers will have the possibility to choose their main activities (school related, IT and web site, third age university, mobility and youth, …). When the volunteers will be fully integrated, they could develop their own projects. The volunteers will be asked to promote and disseminate in the Friuli Venezia Giulia Region the results of their EVS project, telling about their own experience as a multiplier effect. We strongly believe that giving youth people the possibility to have a voluntary service experience abroad is a fundamental step in order to strengthen the European citizenship. During and after the EVS experience the youth volunteers generate a multiplying effect that affect a large part of the citizenship. They play a fundamental role through the peer to peer communication that bond the barriers and arrive directly to the people. This is why we want to continue our activities with the Youth In Action Program and in particular within the European Voluntary Service.

Our project is thought to allow the volunteers to know more about the European union, getting closer with a new culture, learning a new language and having an experience that will change positively his/her life. We think that do the EVS in Trieste and in particular in our office gives to the volunteer the possibility to get in touch with an intercultural dimension and getting closer to the European union and its programs.
