Resumo: The hosting organization is a social therapeutic home, village that was established in 1999. The village is a social community for people with special needs where they live a purposeful everyday life and feel like needed and valued members of society and give their contribution to its development. The community consists of social workers, their families, adults, called villagers, that need special care and attention and who have certain developmental disabilities.

Volunteers from all over world come and contribute with their work for a longer or shorter time period. Villagers work in the field doing different agricultural tasks – farming, gardening, including production of dairy products – fresh cheese, curds, sour cream. Farming in Rozkalni is being organized following biodynamic farming approach - a holistic, ecological, and ethical. During winter season villagers are actively engaged in different workshops like felting, knitting, tea and spice workshop, woodwork, etc.
Most of the products produced by villagers are used by the community itself but some, like dairy products are also sold. Community is also very active in cultural life – attending local and national cultural activities as well as taking active part in music and arts lessons that are organized by coworkers in the village itself.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for self-motivated young people who are willing to work in a farm and are not afraid to perform different tasks, spend time with people with special needs.

Tarefas: Volunteer will be engaged in all daily activities, including participation and work in the workshops: tea and herb, cow shed - feeding and taking care of cows, dairy workshop - making cheese, yoghurt and sourcream, paperworkshop - making school excercise books for Waldorfshools.
Using a scheduled that will be designed together with volunteers, they will also be engaged in cooking and caring for the house. Both in the village there are different cultural events and other activities.
We will cooperate with local primary school and culture house to engage volunteers together with the villagers to take part in these activities and will encourage volunteers to initaite their own activities - possibly language courses and other intercultural evenings and activities.

Condições: You will live in a room in our village - farm that consists of two family houses, a culture house, barn, cow sheds. Your daily meals will be offered here on site and there is no necessity to commute to work since you will live on site. The closest village with a shop is 9km away, the closest city is 16 km away. There is public transportation available. You will receive pocket money - 120 euros per month
