Resumo: The EVS project will develop two activities:
EVS Activity no.1: initiate and develop a campaign to inform young people about opportunities offered them through an EVS stages: they could achive competencies required by employers.
This informing campaign will promote a new image of the active involved youngsters and the volunteering done by them as a valuable resource of the community.
The campaign will be supported on online social media, local and regional mass-media+ the organization of some visibility events (using the non-formal education methods: as Living Library) + creating and managing a website-page + creating accounts on social networking web pages that will be dedicated to the project. Will train the young people from local community to communicate in English Language
Volunteers will participate in training and workshops on the following themes: social-media Network, Non-formal education methodes used in Youth in Action Programme, Communication in Romanian Language(intensive course), Volunteer management in Youth in Action Programme context
EVS Activity 2: initiation and development volunteer projects in local community in order to support young people at risk of social and professional exclusion, (unemployed, young people without defined qualifications or from rural areas) to develop their skills and competencies required by employers: communication in English, intensive use of internet, personal marketing techniques and techniques of how to prepare an interview, competent management, team work.
To achieve these objectives volunteers will: sustain workshops whose main objective will be to coach the underprivileged youngsters to prepare for their job interviews , train them to communicate in English Language and Internet intensive use; they will also initiate and manage community volunteer projects which will attract young people from the community to get involved in the management of the project; will organize events for dissemination and exploitation the results of EVS project’s activities.
Perfil: It’s “a must” for the future EVS volunteers :
-To have a strong determination to get involved in volunteering actions for the benefit of the community where they will volunteer
-To have a specific volunteer attitude, being aware of there mission in the EVS stage: to volunteer for the project beneficiaries (young people at risk of social and professional exclusion in Braila County)
- Be unemployed and / or have a history in search of a job for themselves
Or
-to come from isolated communities, have not had another experience within the European Union( have no paricipated in other European projects) but to know the traditions and cultural specifics of the area of their origin
Tarefas: Volunteers will participate in training and workshops on the next topics: Management of volunteers in Youth in Action Programme context, Communications in Romanian Language, personal marketing and negotiation Non-formal education methodes used in Youth in Action Programme.
