Resumo: (permaculture)
The hosting organization is a civic association whose purpose is to promote harmonious coexistence with nature and preservation and development of traditional values in accordance with cultural heritage and nature of the country.
Our activities aim to contribute to local and regional development and sustainability.
Our main target group is youth (but also adults and children) that we aim to motivate to active, creative and sustainable life-style in the countryside. We are founding Village center of non-formal education Golden hill, to create a space where visitors can educate, self-realize and self-know themselves through creative, cultural, spiritual, artistic and also everyday-life activities. Besides that we are providing local museum with traditional way of cooking and living. In the past we have organized many international youth projects as workcamps, exchanges, EVS, trainings and others. Main fields of our activities are:
EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES
Courses, seminars, international youth projects
CREATIVE AND CRAFT WORKSHOPS
Ceramics, carving, plating, jewelery, etc.
CULTURAL AND SOCIAL EVENTS
Festivals, street theater, fairs, etc.

Permaculture and traditional construction.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Suitable for volunteers who are looking for living and working in a rural area connected with nature and community, willing to participate actively in all the process, and learn in a wide range of activities ready to work physically and be responsible for the duties and agreements. They should feel concerned about climate change issues and are willing to learn and live responsibly. We appreciate it if volunteers have some manual skills of using working tools, or other skills needed in rural areas, but it is not required. However some preconditions for rural and community life is needed.
Tarefas: For many people, permaculture mainly means caring about the garden and plants. Permaculture however is a wider concept that includes in addition to earth care, caring about the people and their needs. It is based on relationships that should grow and support each other. Growing inside can be approached either in a philosophical, emotional, or mental way in our vision and understanding of the world. Growing outside can be related to gardening, relationships, nature, or our skills. Perma comes from permanent –something that can be sustainable. Culture is a complex of specific spiritual, material, intellectual and emotional traits of a society or social group, which also includes a common way of life, lifestyle, value system, traditions, and faith. We will explore together What is perma-Culture? not only in a material way, but also in philosophical, social, and also personal way.
Condições: We have a separated part of our house with two bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and toilet, where we can accommodate four persons. This part of the house will be the volunteers accommodation. Both places are independently separated. Volunteers have their own kitchen. In the village there is a small grocery store, there is a school kitchen with reasonable prices, and there is the option of food delivery. Usually they are going to the nearby town to do bigger shopping trips in a supermarket and we share cooking by our selfs.
