Resumo: (heritage, restoration of wooden boats)
Located in the fishing village, the organization exists to help support and enhance both the traditional maritime heritage and the contemporary maritime culture of the local community.
To accomplish this, the organization is currently engaged in the restoration of Croatian wooden BOAT PROJECTS, youth and young adult maritime education PROGRAMS, and development of maritime festival EXHIBITS.

Mission:
The hosting organization is a non-profit, nonpartisan, and nongovernmental association officially established in February 2017 in Croatia by a group of maritime enthusiasts. The association was founded with the aim of preserving Croatian maritime heritage by actively engaging in the traditional shipbuilding craft and related maritime skills.
VISION
Maritime heritage is appreciated and recognized as both important and valuable in Croatian society. Wooden boats are used and well maintained on the waterfront throughout the Croatian coast and islands, and there are real opportunities for quality education for trades in support of wooden boats.
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Hard working, interested in woodwork, boats, maritime culture, team player, not afraid to share working and living space with other volunteers, used to live in very small isolated community.
Tarefas: Volunteers will engage hands-on in a variety of both traditional and contemporary manual crafts and projects. Participants will be introduced to various skills and techniques that they will be required to practice in their day-to-day service to hosting organization and the community of Sumartin. Sharing maritime knowledge of each volunteer‘s home country will also be a component of this project.
This Learning by Doing program aims to improve the current and future life of the local community through the sharing and promotion of valued maritime traditions and daily heritage practices. Some of the tasks will be: the repair, restoration and seasonal maintenance of wooden boats by learning how to use traditional and contemporary tools, design and develop educational presentations that they will deliver to students at schools.
Condições: Board and accommodation in apartment (sharing bedrooms), Pocket and food money: 270€/month, All meals, laundry, maintaining the apartment is done by volunteers themselves. Travel costs will be reimbursed for the cheapest and most direct way of transport, according to Erasmus+ distance calculator: 100 - 499 km: 180€ per participant 500 - 1999 km: 275€ per participant 2000 - 2999 km: 360€ per participant
