Resumo: The activities are related mainly to art workshop for youngsters and children with disabilities, but also to promoting EVS, advertising online the activities of the organization and of course our everyday office work. That is why we are searching for young people who would like to participate in different crafting activities, would like to work with socially disadvantaged groups and are not scared to take initiative.

Perfil: The volunteers shall be motivated and openminded person, in terms to understand and accept different cultures and social groups. They have to be prepared for the unsufficient awarness and tolerance towards people in disadvantage situation in our country. We will be glad if the volunteers are interested in work with children and/or young people, as those are the main target groups for our regular activities. It will be usefull if they are motvated to learn Bulgarian too in order to achieve better communication with the youngsters and the children. At the moment we do not have conditions to accept a volunteer in a weelchair .
In the recruitment process will be concidered at first place the motivation of the applicants to participate in the projects and support our vision (supporting people in disadvantage situation). Our decision will not be based on origin, sex, religion etc. and all aplications will be listed and discussed. As a sending organization we will provide information and support for all youngsters interested in EVS. We will promote the program trough our partner organizations, our website and the participants in our activities.
We will be glad to cooperate with sending organizations focused on the work with people and communities in disadvantaged situation, but also with youth and cultural organizations. They should share with us the idea, that young people, NGOs and institutions together can develop and work for new successful strategies in terms to change negative social attitudes towards people in disadvantaged situation. This will help us to exchange experience, to make us learn faster from each other and contribute together for more tolerance in the society not only on national but also on international level.

Tarefas: As the organization has very diverse activities the volunteer can choose where to participate according to his/her interests - offering leisure activities for children in disatvantage situation; working with youngsters to improve their language or computer skills; helping with migrants and get familiar with international legislation and cooperation; organizing and promoting, together with our partner organizations, art exhibitions, cultural events or workshops and information campaigns in terms to change social attitudes towards vulnerable groups, as well as promoting the other activities of the organization. The volunteers will have the freedom to decide where to participate: in the planning and organization or in the implementation of our projects, or both. This way he/she will have the opportunity to learn all the steps for implementing different activities - from the financial and organizational planning, through application till the implementation and the further maintenance. Furher more he/she will learn about tollerance, environmental protection, art management and advertizment.
In the beginning he/she will be probably helping our staff in terms to get to know better the organization, the projects or the target group. Later on of course he/she will participate actively and we will encourage and support him/her in developing and carrying on his/her own ideas and projects. However, during his EVS the volunteer will be a "trainee" in our organisation and will not take over complex tasks completely independently.

Condições: We are able to host maximum 3 volunteers at once and for short term projects (till 2 weeks) maximum 12. Our team is of 8 people and further volunteers will influence the successful implementation of EVS. To gain experience and to ensure successful implementation of EVS in our organization at the beginning may be we will host one volunteer and later on more. All volunteers will be supported by a mentor, and in case of big groups - a group mentor. All long term volunteers will have the same possibilities to take part in the different activities of the organization and will be provided with working conditions according to the state legislation and sufficient for the implementation of their projects.

As the main target group of the organization are the people in disadvantage situation, we have experience in this field. In our organization work specialist and psichologists who can provide appropriate help and support if needed. We can also ask for support other professionals and organizations. According to the special needs of the applicant, he/she will be provided with appropriate accomodation and in case of need assistence. His/her working place will be arranged also according to his/her special needs.

The volunteers will be based in the central part of the city as close as possible to the organizations office (it is also centrally located). In general Varna is a city with no high risk of violence. However, we will look for buildings with additional security and controlled entrance. The flat will have the necessary facilities for all seasons as well as cooking conditions. Long term volunteers will be provided with at least a single room, and short term volunteers (projects until one moth) will be hosted in double or single rooms. If the volunteers wish, we will help them to find a shared apartment with other students or young people. During their stay in Bulgaria, the volunteers will be supported by their mentor concerning the city of Varna (city map, hospitals, transportation, shops etc.), the country and places to visit, the local mentality and comportment in different situation. Further more, in the organization work psychologist with practical experience who will be helping us to find solutions in case of conflicts inside or outside of the organization. For volunteers under 18 we will offer then opportunity to live in a family.
