During the activity and/or stay in Slovenia or abroad, the volunteer will be supported by his/her mentor and other colleagues of the host or sending organization, both during formal and informal time, about functional or personal things.

Special attention by the hosting and sending organization will be given to providing decent housing, international and local transport, and insurance. At the host organization the volunteer will have access to all premises, equipment and other resources.

If any difficulties occur, all three partners in the project - the volunteer, host organization and sending organization, with all our efforts and resources, will try to mitigate the problems and resolve them in the good of all involved.

We will try within our power that the crisis situations will not occur. The Youth Centre Brezice team will work for the safety and welfare of the volunteer. The mentor and the coordinator will take particular care for ensuring the volunteer safety and wellbeing. From the start of the voluntary service we will talk about safety, rules and Youth Centre’s house rules. The volunteer will receive a map and a list of all important phone numbers and addresses (police, hospital, embassy, etc.). We will organize a city tour, where all relevant facilities will be shown to the volunteer. We will give our private phone numbers to the volunteer, ensuring that at any time and for any reason he/she can contact us. Our staff is very open and trustworthy, and we hope the volunteer will recognize this at the very beginning of EVS, so that we will be able to help him/her with any problems or misunderstandings.

Our target group are adult volunteers.
