Resumo: Centre for leisure time activities looks for volunteers for long-term EVS. We offer you 3 profiles:
1. youth club,information youth centre, media studio
2. sporting leisure time activities
3. creative leisure time activities.
Volunteers will be cooperate on leisure time activities for children, youth and adults.
Perfil: Volunteer profile: We expect a comparably independent, creative and adaptable young person, able to work in a team. He/she must be willing to educate him/herself and to actively contribute to the activities of SVC Ivancice.
Volunteer assessment: We will chose among the volunteers according to their motivation letters that the profile and interests of the volunteer could comply with our project needs. The main activities of the association are targeted the work with children and youth, so the advantage for the volunteer can be some experience with a such work.
Special knowledge and abilities: Working with children and young people necessitates volunteer’s ability to communicate patiently, his/her positive attitude to children and youth, and his/her social abilities such as open-mindedness, empathy, tolerance and cooperation.
Tarefas: The main activity of our organization:
•regular work with children and youth (there are 133 hobby groups opened for more than 1800 children and young people and more than 180 adults)
•holiday work (we organise 60 summer, winter camps and weekend stays for more than 1200 participiants every year)
•occasional and open events for the community (for example funny, sports, cultural, presentation, dance, educational, interest, thematic, regional events; we organised 185 events for more than 13 thousand participants last school year)
•activities in R-Youth Club (billiards, darts, table football, table tenis, TV, PC, internet, tutorial, playstation, diskoteques, rockoteques, tournaments, competitions, hit parades, creation of own programmes, ...)
•activities in Maternal and Family Centre (hobby groups for parents and their children – sport games, creative workshop, singing, nursery school, babysitting, PC courses, educational activities, tutorial, language courses, lectures with specialists, bazaars, ...)
•seminars and schooling with experts
•cooperation with schools of all grades in our region
•cooperation with other towns, villages and organizations in our region
Our organization has 16 internal employees (13 women and 4 men) and therefrom 10 pedagogical workers. Next about 50 external workers and 20 volunteers who help us with our activities. Entire young team of internal workers is characterized by pleasant and familiar relations. Two workers speak English actively and about two workers speak English passively. Other workers speak only Czech.
Our organization works with all age groups. Leisure time activities are prepared for children, youth, adults, seniors and for example for mentally handicapped persons and socially deprived persons.
ROLES AND TASKES OF THE VOLUNTEERS
The volunteer will cooperate with internal, external workers and volunteers of SVC Ivančice on the following activities. The volunteer will be intergrated to work teams. All workers will help volunteer on the following activities.
PROFILE 1
1/ R-Youth Club (40%)
Offered activities in the club:
• table tennis, table football, darts, billiards, social games
• tearoom, non-alcoholic bar
• TV, DVD, PC, internet, music
• actions in the club: diskoteques, rockoteques, hip hop parties, “karaoke” parties, tournaments, competitions, “stepmania”
• actions outside of the club: exchange actions with surrounding youth clubs, trips, weekend stays, stay actions, summer camps for youth
Tasks of the volunteer:
• oversight – administration, borrowing materials and social games, selling refreshment, communication with youth, ...
• creation, preparation,organization and realization activities for youth in the club and outside of the club (tournaments, competitions, ceilidhs, weekends stays, trips, ...)
2/ Youth Information Centre (25%)
Offered activities of the centre:
• infomation activity
• PC, internet, print
• prezentations, exhibitions, workshops, seminars, tournaments, competitions
Tasks of the volunteer:
• creation, preparation,organization and realization activities for youth in the centre
• data compilation, data sorting, data updating
• ensuring operation of the centre
• providing information about EVS, retrieving information and contacts in Eurodesk
3/ Media Studio (20%)
Offered activities on the centre:
• workshops, seminars, actions for youth
• creation of periodical for youth
• creation of promotional materials
Tasks of the volunteer:
• creation, preparation,organization and realization activities for youth in the centre
• help with the creation of periodical for youth
• help with the promotion of the actions for youth
• participate seminars and workshops
4/ Education (10%)
• the volunteer will learn Czech language during the week (once a week two lessons)
• the volunteer will be involved informal educational actions organizing with SVC Ivancice
5/ Others (5%)
• the volunteer will create the own project
• the volunteer will elaborate photographical and factual materials from EVS
PROFILE 2
1/ Sporting hobby groups (35%)
We offer sporting hobby groups for children, youth and adults like Aerobics, Sporting games, Handball, Basketball, Football, Floorball, Yoga, Karate, Majorettes, Tenis, Ball games, etc.These hobby groups are taken place during the whole week.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• help with creation, preparation, organization and realization activities and programmes for participiants in hobby groups
• realization the own hobby groups for children and youth
2/ Sporting actions (20%)
We offer to children and youth every month various sporting actions like floorbal cup, handball cup, skatepar cup, trips to rope centre, tournaments, competitions, etc.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• creation, preparation, organization and realization actions for children and youth
• help with promotion of sporting activities
• realization the own activities
3/ Sporting camps and weekend stays for youth (10%)
We organize camps, concentration trainings of hobby groups and weekend stays above all for children and youth during all holidays of the year.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• help, preparation, organization and realization programmes
4/ Stay programmes for schools (20%)
We prepare, organize and realize programmes for schools for example Teamwork, Communication, Adaptation programmes, Review etc. These programmes are organized out of Ivancice and they last several days (2, 3, 4 days).

5/ Education (10%)
• the volunteer will learn Czech language during the week (once a week two lessons)
• the volunteer will be involved informal educational actions organizing with SVC Ivancice

• the volunteer will elaborate photographical and factual materials from EVS
PROFILE 3
1/ Creative hobby groups and ceramics (40%)
We offer to children, youth and schools various creative hobby groups and ceramics. In these hobby groups we learn participiants various technics – stapling, work with beads, original T-shirts, napkin technics, painting on glass, painting on silk, enamel, producing of hand-made paper, etc.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• help with creation, preparation, organization and realization activities for participiants in hobby groups
• realization the own hobby groups for children and youth
2/ Creative actions (20%)
We offer to childrena and youth every month various creative actions. We learn participiants various technics, see above.
Tasks of the volunteer:
• creation, preparation, organization and realization activities and programmes for the general public
• help with promotion of creative activities
• realization the own activities for the general public
3/ Creative camps, weekend stays (15%)
We organize camps and weekend stays above all for children and youth aimed for creative technics and ceramics during all holidays of the year.

4/ Programmes for schools (10%)
We cooperate with schools in Ivancice and in the region on various creative activities and ceramics.

Condições: Our organization is able to offer the support for the development of the persons with fewer opportunities and special needs.
We are a team of young people who have a longtime experience with persons with fewer opportunities or special need. We daily work with children and youth who face to all sorts of situations and obstacles. Our team is open to all children and young people with various problems, differences and obstacles and does not hesitate to help them with their problems. We are communicative, friendly, emphatic, able to solve problems.
We have a longtime experience with the work with socially deprived persons and mentally handicapped persons too. We organize actions, summer camps and other programmes for these persons.
In the case of some problems we cooperate with psychologists, pedagagues and other experts.
The personal support will be provided by mentor, the working support will be provided by internal worker, the language support will be provided by Czech teacher and the support in administrative matters will be provided by internal worker.
Accomodation will be ensured in private or in a flat together with other volunteers. Lunches will be guarantte by school dining room, other courses by individually.
