Resumo: (Robotics - IT, graphic design, photographers, educators)
The organization was created as a respond to the pressure of constant changes in the Balkan and Eastern European region and under the need for the creation of a better social environment. Key areas of the organization's activities concern the defense of human rights, the organization of youth exchanges and training courses, which will bring young people from Balkans and Europe together, the organization of local educational seminars and multimedia production, as well as promotion of volunteerism at local and international level. In addition, the design and implementation of research and new methods and tools related to education and action, cooperation with other civil society actors, as well as the involvement with state organizations to achieve the objectives of the organization are key goals of the hosting organization. Finally, a crucial aim is to inform and raise awareness among young people on various social issues, as well as to strengthen and support them in the creation of a healthier and more integrated, thinking and active citizen.

Objectives of the organization

- Identifying the needs of young people and implementing actions and activities in cooperation with them
- Supporting, empowering and activating young people in order to take part in decision-making process and initiatives
- Promoting the idea of voluntarism, the values and principles of active citizenship and Democracy
- Mentoring and life coaching of young people, which leads to the creation of a life plan
- Promoting and respecting human rights, social integration, solidarity and diversity, through the use of New Media and non-formal education activities
- Identifying and promoting the cultural elements of the countries of South-eastern Europe and bridging the gap between them
- Combating stereotypes and prejudices amongst the people of the Balkans and Europe as well as the different social groups in society
- Stimulating youth to adopt social skills and healthy attitudes to combat unemployment through entrepreneurship
- Recognizing the values of non-formal education and the services of the youth worker.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for people who are familiar being around with young kids, be outgoing and flexible. Although the project does not require from participants to have experience in robotics, we need people who have skills in 1 ore more of the following 3 main areas: graphic design, IT skills and photography/videography.

Tarefas: The coordinating organization organizes workshops for kids to participate actively and design a robotics program based on their own needs. By doing so we are giving another approach of the educational process and an opportunity for the kids to use their knowledge in a practical way. The workshops run by young trainers, familiar with technology, with the ability to approach knowledge through informal education. Moreover we use hands on activities in which, educators, kids and parents, create together and unfurl their imagination. One of the main priorities of EduACT is to provide equal opportunities for learning to any individual. We give the chance to refugees, children from minorities and children with disruptive behavior, young inmates and young people who are facing social exclusion to participate in innovative educational programs. Volunteers will support the organisation and promotion of the activities as well as the dissemination of the results.

Condições: Volunteers are going to be accommodated in a fully equipped building located in the city centre, near the main bus and train station of the city. It is an autonomous 5 floored building of 150 m2 per floor and a terrace on the 6th floor. We provide our volunteers with three meals per day through a catering service that prepares the food according to their preferences and allergies (also for vegetarian). Bus transportation card is also provided.
