Resumo: (non-formal education, events)
In this project two (2) volunteers work with young people in the municipality. The hsoting organization locates on an island in the northern Baltic Sea. The municipality has a population of just under 1 000. The entire island is classified as one of Finland's nationally significant built cultural environments and has unique natural conditions.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We would like to host active volunteers who are motivated to work with children and young people. Working hours change according to tasks, so volunteers need to be flexible. As the tasks include working with children, an extract of the criminal records is required.
Volunteers must be prepared to live in rural environment.

Tarefas: Volunteers participate in the local youth work: joining youth clubs, youth workshops etc. They work together with local youth to create activities and increase involvement. Volunteers are also planning and organising events for and with local residents, and during summer they will work in tasks related to tourism.

Volunteers are guided to all tasks. The volunteer’s personal skills or interests are considered and discussed before the project and an individual work plan is made for all volunteers.

Condições: Volunteers are accommodated in an apartment. Volunteers need to cook for themselves (food allowance and pocket money will be provided). Within themunicipality the distances are short: main venues are mainly reachable by foot or bike. If needed, other transportation is provided.
