Resumo: (culture; environment)
The hosting organization is an association situated in Austria in the midst of an 5 hectare park. We do an annual culture programme, develop and take care of the green area, run the climate change laboratory, provide place for other associations, independent art projects and our neighbours.

We are a group of people with great idealism, a vision for a better world and a lot of creativitiy.

In our over 20 years of existence we have achieved:

- the rescue of the green area from development
- the creation of a recreational area for our neighbours and inhabitants
- the establishing of an art place for young people and the independent art scene
- the introduction of a 50:50 quota (female*/male*) on our stage
- the setting up and running of our climate change laboratory

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Our volunteer should have:
- Computer skills (web, word processing, social media)
- Craftsmanship skills- Flexibility
- Self-reliability
- Good communication skills

Tarefas: GREEN SPACE DESIGN: The volunteer will be part of the park design team (planting trees). This will allow him/her to learn about different aspects of civic, environmental engagement and build knowledge in the field.

CLIMATE RESEARCH LAB in the park: Current climate issues are taught to children and youth. The mediation is kept playful and is based on current educational concepts. The volunteer supports the workshop team in the facilitation. He/she also participates in the preparation and follow-up work.

EVENTS: The association handles approx. 30 events/year, ranging from club events to workshops to a week-long festival/symposium as well as national and international cooperation projects. The volunteer will be involved in all related work.

RENOVATION of the 2 clubhouses: drywall construction, caulking and plastering, pulling in power lines (under the supervision of a professional), laying parquet floors, building furniture, painting and surface design.

Pocket money: ca. 150 EUR / month Food reimbursement: ca. 270 EUR / month
Transport arrangement: monthly allowance of ca. 30 EUR for public transport
