Resumo: The hosting organiztion is a non-profit organization born in 2015, with the aim to foster environment
- friendly relationship between man and nature. The organization is located outside the city and provides services and resting area for campers and travelers, who like this kind of experience.
The main goal of hosting organization promo tion of sustainable and solidarity tourism, by carrying out recreational and sports initiatives and activities, facilitating cultural exchange between travelers and locals, providing inclusion and adequate assistance to those with fewer opportunities and with disabilities, taking care of our environment and biodiversity.
The main objectives of the organization are to:
-Promote and coordinate different outdoors sports activities, tourist camping, gardening, grilling, etc... With care and special attention to the protection of nature and sea.
-Support children and people with disabilities.The organization offers easy access to the sea and provides opportunities of playing outdoor and learning in a non-formal environment.
-Collaborate with other associations and develop some environmental and social projects
Perfil: Age: 18-30
Tarefas: The volunteers will be involved in everyday activities carried out in the organization and other locations in town based on a particular activity. The volunteers will work generally 36 hours/week from 9 to 13 and in the afternoon also from 16 to 19.
The main activities of the project include:
- Assist the staff members in organizing and preparing the area of the bar, beach, leisure and relax space such as chairs and tables, books, games, grill etc.. ;
- Organize and carry out activities for children, such as energizers, reading, drawing, playing , sports ...;
- Support and assist children or adults with disabilities at the beach or in using services of the organization, coordinating and organizing recreational activities for them;
-Making arts and crafts out of objects and rubbish found on the beach, such as bottles, taps, nets...
- Participating in events and celebrations organized for some national or religious holidays
- Taking part in cleaning initiatives, either the sea or the nearby area;
- Supporting the staff in everyday activities, by occasionally preparing some typical dishes from volunteer’s home country, doing barbecue, gardening, etc...;
- Creating promotional material and digital content such as photos, videos, posters, brochures, blogs... Updating social media channels and web site;
- Organizing language laboratories, language caffe, tandem etc...;
- Organizing a sort of free walking tours in Molfetta for foreign travelers. A very important part play the complementary activities, where all the volunteers take part and are actively involved with their creativity and ideas. They consist in: Christmas Chorus in November
- December, literature events (the volunteers read poems in mother tongue), international evenings, dissemination event regarding Europe (Europe day, Holocaust day, International day for the elimination of violence against women, etc...).
Condições: The volunteers will live in a fully equipped flat/board house
together with other volunteers, in the city(double room).
The lodging choice will be always decided by the coordinating organization
In any case volunteers will have to respect the rules of the structure and the environment where they live.
There are possibilities for the volunteers to have their meals at home, in the kitchen which is fully furnished. So in this case an additional amount of money will be provided corresponding to 150 euros.
