Resumo: The hosting organization is a youth welfare institution. We take care of children and young people, who cannot live in their original family. Due to unfavourable socialization conditions they are disadvantaged in many fields, and are in need of support. Around 40 children from 7-18 years live in the organization. The staff consists of professional workers such as psychologists, teachers, social workers, youth workers, etc.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Basic requirement is the will of carrying out activities with and for youngsters with a difficult family background. Volunteers should have an easy approach to children and prove that they have neither fears nor prejudices in taking care of social disadvantaged people. we are looking for mature, responsible and tolerant volunteers.

Tarefas: The volunteer will assist the staff in daily activities: meeting children after school, cooking, learning, doing house chores, playing and spending free time and so on. They accompany children in excursions or when needed and organise activities for kids.

Volunteers learn about Austrian social welfare system, improve their social skills, get an insight into social work, educational and therapy methods

Horário: Work start in the afternoon, volunteers work 35 hours/week.
