Resumo: The foundation is a non-profit association, focusing on early childhood education and after-school care.
The aim is to create a positive environment for children from 1 to 12 years for them to flourish, learn, enjoy and grow and to feel like important members of the society. German-French Kindergarten: In our kindergarten, we care for 75 children between 1 and 6 years. During walks and on our on our beautiful terrain the children play with each other mixed in age.
The kindergarten works according to the Early Excellence approach and is oriented to the Pikler pedagogy.
The kindergarten is located in a beautiful quiet environment and invites the children to observe nature (especially frogs ☺) and learn more about ecology. Throughout the day, all of the educators speak their mother tongue (German or French) with the children.

The foundation is located in the district with a population of about 263 thousand inhabitants. About 30% of the population have a migrate background. It is surrounded by lakes and forests as a great distraction from the city.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
The foundation has the following expectations towards the volunteer’s required skills and interests:
- basic knowledge of German language is welcome
- If you also speak French, then that's really great!
- enjoy working with children
- be open-minded and motivated
- willing to take responsibility and work independently
- ability to work in a team
- willing to bring in own skills and interests
- creativity

Tarefas: The volunteer takes part in the daily activities of the German French kindergarten:
-assist educators with activities in French and German;
-work with children e.g. playing games, making toys, reading, painting, music, sports, singing, etc.;
-help to prepare for events;
-Presentation of own culture, children's games, children's literature and tradition (age-appropriate), Benefits for the volunteer will be:
-getting to know the German culture and the German capital as a European metropolis;
-practice the German language through the daily contacts with the children, colleagues and parents;
-team work in the pedagogical senses and with colleagues
-Getting to know the method of bilingual education (German-French)

Horário: The weekly working hours will be 30-35 hours; five days a week, while language classes count as working time.
