Youth Centre was founded in 1998. It is a public institute, located in a town in central Slovenia. It provides activities for young people between 7 and 30 years, their parents, youth workers and other experts in the field of youth and social work.

The principal aims of the Youth Centre are:
- to provide support for youth in the local area,
- to give them opportunity to spend their free time wisely and
- to encourage them to get actively involved in a society on a local, national, and international level.

To achieve these goals we run various activities, which are held by Youth Centre alone or in cooperation with other
Slovenian and international organizations. Activities include: educational activities (with special focus on the recognition of non-formal education and development of new competences for personal and professional growth of young people), voluntary work, cultural and creative workshops, sport activities, information and counselling, prevention activities, intergenerational activities, promotion of active participation and active citizenship, international activities.

Youth Centre runs Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes on regular basis. We organise youth exchanges, mobility of youth workers, long term individual volunteering and short-term volunteering teams projects. Since 2015 we are regional partner of Eurodesk network. We have five employees and number of volunteers, who help us on weekly basis.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We are looking for a person, who loves working with people, especially young one, is full of ideas and willing to put the ideas into practice. Ideally has also at least a bit of knowledge of graphic deasign and video editing.

We are looking for a volunteer who is/has:
- Fluent in English.
- Preferably has experiences in a youth field or at least has a wish to work in a youth centre.
- Is flexible in working hours (35 hours per week, mornings and afternoons, occasionally also weekends).
- Is talkative and willing to spend time with local youngsters.
- Has at least a bit of knowledge of graphic design (Canva also works) and video editing. The call is open to all nationalities, and we would be happy to have you here as long as you are eligible to join European Solidarity Corps

Tarefas: The volunteer will be included in all of the activities of Youth Centre and will be able to implement your own ideas. In general your duties will include:
- help in the daily centre
- organisation and implementation of the activities for youngsters, with the focus on music, creative workshops and games;
- help with the promotion of the activities
- grafic design of the promotion materials (posters, leaflets etc.);
- promotion of the international activities in schools and in youth centre;
- intercultural activities;
- Slovenian language course;
- weekly meetings with coordinator and mentor;
- own project
- open space for your own ideas.
