Resumo: The hosting organization is regional music venue and youth culture house. The organization offers a wide range of cultural events with quality, content and diversity. At the organization, the volunteers run the arrangements - both before, during and after the events. More than 300 annual cultural events are held both at the organization and outside the house. The core is concert operation with annual presentation of more than 300 bands. In addition, Gimle has a café, The Raven, which is open 6 days a week.

The organization is run on the basis of more than 150 volunteers, 12 full time employees (office, kitchen and cleaning), and approx. 30 hourly employees (sound, cleaning and kitchen).

Perfil: We are looking for volunteers between 18 and 28 years old who are interested in a 12 month project. As a volunteer at the organization, one must be ready to enter into a large social community, which is the main driving force behind the voluntary commitment. In addition, we expect the volunteers to be open, spacious, accommodating, curious, ready to take initiative to new projects and take ownership and responsibility in café. No special skills are required, but an interest in cooking, music, volunteering and events is a must.

Tarefas: The focal point of the project is to run the cultural café, together with the other volunteers and staff. The café is open 6 days a week and is a popular gathering place for volunteers and the local community. In the café you can arrange everything from concerts to international evenings or a food event.
There are opportunities to fill in with your own creative abilities and ideas, and thereby discover what you are really passionate about.
The volunteers are encouraged to create a personal project in order to put a foot print. The project can range from organizing an event in the café, starting and managing a group of café technicians or i.e. decorating the café.

Condições: The European volunteer share a house with four other volunteers from different countries, which contributes to an increased understanding, not only for the Danish culture, but also for other European cultures. In addition, there is a good environment for international students, where both the European and Danish volunteers contributes to make the internationals feel welcome and be integrated in. The volunteer receives money for food, and gets free food while working. Gimle provides a bus card and a bicycle.
