Resumo: We have altogether over 800 members but much more young people join our activities independently on client base. We have restarted our mission in 1990, starting with few clubs and gradually grown into various sizes of local associations, community and youth centres.

Through the local associations we organize activities for children and youth which lead to harmonic development of their personality in body, mind and spirit - which is aim of the organization. The activities include singing, drama, sport, camping, outdoor games, educational programmes and youth leaders development etc. depending on the needs of youth in particular community and regions.
We have 10 paid staff (3 in national office and 7 in regions under independent youth associations) and around 235 volunteers in Slovakia working within local associations.

One of our specific interests is providing multicultural experience and inter-cultural learning possibilities to youth. We have a long-term experience with various forms of volunteering: long term local volunteers development and raising youth leaders. We have also experience delivering activities supported by Youth in Action programmes especially with European voluntary service, trainings and youth exchanges organisation.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
✔ commitment for the whole 12 months (upon agreement)
✔ basic knowledge of English for everyday communication
✔ enjoy to work with children and youth on regular basis
✔ active, responsible and open minded
✔ various skills are welcome (but not required): ability to play any musical instrument, sports, singing, dancing, drama ...
✔ ability to adapt and to react flexibly in challenging social environment necessary
✔ character integrity: being a role model
✔ communicative
✔ able to find own entertainment in free time

Tarefas: - daily activities in Roma community centre: kindergarten, afterschool club, music club, sport club and others depending on interest of local community
- other activities according to current offer (non-formal language education, national meetings, workshops, organizing international seminars, charity events, etc.)
- own initiative/project (e.g. involvement with local students, own workshops, etc.) according to volunteers interest and abilities We offer supervision for volunteers, support in many areas. We continue to develop programes and cooperation that target local community needs and involve people from various backgrounds...

Condições: Accommodation & Board: shared room (max. 2 persons/room) in rented flat near town centre with Internet access, shared kitchen and bathroom with other international volunteers, fully equipped kitchen, staff kitchen or lunch at local restaurants at better price during lunch time MENU (average 5,00 €), 300 € / monthly meal allowance and pocket money Travel: one return journey to and from the service is reimbursed, maximum sum is depending on distance to Slovakia
