Resumo: (Single Mother's Shelter)
The hosting organization provides a periodic, round-the-clock stay for pregnant women and mothers with underage children up to the age of five (if there is a valid reason, older children, up to a maximum of 10 years, may be admitted) who are in a difficult life situation. As we have vacancies, we accept people from other provinces. The assistance is provided on the basis of the Act of March 12, 2004 on social assistance and the Regulation of the Minister of Social Policy of March 8, 2005 on homes for mothers with minor children and pregnant women.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: Volunteers presence will allow the inhabitants of Single Mother's Shelter to gain different perspective and worldview. Participants work with women and children will give them an opportunity to experience world as it is, along with practice of polish and English vocabulary. We expect volunteers to help single mothers take care of their children in tasks such as; Kids playtime - volunteer joins a child in their fun time to bond. Natural history - floristic classes with kids. Healthy body/healthy soul - group Nordic walking Class about polish culture Kitchen activities - volunteer makes food along with Shelter inhabitants (be it one’s regional food, or polish dishes) Music/dance workshops - for artistic souls I am Eco - volunteer helps educate children about natural environment - take kids for a walk and explore the town Activities are planned from Monday to Friday, between 8AM and 5PM. Be vary that almost all activity requires working with children.
