Resumo: (young people)
At the national office, we work together with the teams of the regional associations to organise international workcamps in Germany and create opportunities for young people to take part in workcamps outside Germany.
Every year we organise between 50 and 60 work camps in Germany. Our target group is young people between the
ages of 14 and 26. On the one hand, we want to use the workcamps to promote civic engagement among young
people and to support charitable projects in the local community. Equally important to us is living and working
together as an international group. The workcamps - like all other projects - are based on our eight working
principles: Ecological learning, voluntarism, self-organisation, social learning, intercultural learning, gender equality, anti-racism/anti-discrimination and political education.

Social and intercultural learning happens through living together collectively in an international group. Workcamps
thus make an important contribution to realising the working principles of the organization. One of the pillars is political education, including participation in democratic life, one of our core goals. We see ourselves as a place of political education. Political education here means experiencing and shaping an active democracy. The organizaion make people
critical, encourage discussions and questioning of social structures, and actively promote self-determined political
will and consciousness formation. The organizaion is convinced that volunteering as a special form of civic engagement
cannot take place separately from living democracy and political education.

In concrete terms, this means that we work with very flat hierarchies in our workcamps and in our office and
motivate people to get involved with their own ideas and wishes. At the camps, this means that the group leaders
accompany the young people in making their own decisions in the group. This also applies to the responsibility for
the food budget and the organisation of meals or leisure time. At these points, we encourage the self-organising
powers of the individual and the community.

In terms of content, many of our camps are oriented towards the values and content of the EU. A large number of
projects take place in the field of environmental protection and in local communities, and inclusive and social work
camps can also be found in our portfolio every year. Our groups are diverse in terms of nationality, age and gender.
In the sense of education for sustainable development, discussions on the relationship between people and nature
as well as on questions of ecology are encouraged across the generations in all areas of the organization and a heightened awareness of the environment is promoted. Possibilities of an ecological and sustainable everyday life are
connected with positive experiences. Practical experiences encourage people to rethink their own patterns of action.

It shows how we can live sustainably ourselves and what far-reaching consequences our actions have for ourselves,
for people and the environment all over the world, as well as for future generations.
In this way, we especially invite young people who are interested in society, our values and meeting the community.
We would like to emphasise that we would like to welcome both the young people and you as a volunteer according
to our working principle of self-organisation, in order to give your topics and wishes a space and to implement your
ideas.
We are happy if you want to learn from and with us.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
A big component of our work is the contact with the young people in our camps and in our team. Therefore, we are
looking for a person who is courageous to get in touch with people. Being open and inviting, interested in the topics
of the association and courageously approaching other people and situations are qualities that will make your start
with us easier. We do not expect any special educational qualifications. An interest in international youth work and
perhaps some experience in voluntary work are helpful. We would also appreciate a certain passion for Excel lists. It
is supportive if you are good at social media and have ideas for content. Of course, you will not be able to
communicate perfectly in German from the beginning, but we think that there are many ways to communicate
outside of language.
The most important aspect for us is that you want to be part of our team for the duration of the service and that you
want to support the values of the organization. We are happy if you bring your own interests and skills into our team

Tarefas: In the first period, it is especially important to us that you have a good time with us and that you gradually find your way around the language. The focus during this time is on aspects such as networking, contact with us as a team and getting to know the structures.
We don't want to hide from you that there is a lot of organisational and administrative work behind the practical
implementation of international workcamps. You can support us in this and get to know the structures and
background of an international youth work organisation.

In the second part of your voluntary service, we would like to give you more and more responsibility. We would be
happy if you supported us in our public relations work. This includes, for example, actively promoting our national
and international workcamps on social media, being active on Instagram and Facebook. Participating in trade fairs
and thus making our work more visible together with us. We would be happy if you supported us with mailing
campaigns and sent information material to universities, colleges and former volunteers.
But practical and educational work should not be neglected during your service with us. We want to give you the
opportunity to participate in one of our training seminars for workcamp groupleadership and to lead one or two
workcamps yourself in summer or autumn.

As a small highlight we can offer you the participation in an international conference with our cooperation partners.
You can travel throughour national associations and visit our workcamp teams there, get to know other volunteers
and staff of our association and gain an insight into their work.
We would like to give you the opportunity to identify your own learning goals in regular reflection meetings and
would like to support you in implementing them within our framework. At the end of your voluntary service, you will
receive a Youth Pass certificate from us, which documents your work and your learning progress.
