Resumo: The hosting organization is a public entity that works in the local area, the historical region. The aim of the organization is to carry out a youth policy aimed to create a free and efective participation of young people in political, social, economic, cultural and enviromental development of our town. We encourage the involvement of local young people to be engaged and innovative in creating and organising free time activities, their initiatives and ideas, to participate in local and international events and to become active and self-aware European citizens. Our activities: conferences, school visits, youth council, local participation programs, artistic workshops, activities of new technologies and communication technologies, ecological orchard and enviromental activities, sport activities, European youth projects.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
We would like to have volunteers, creative and motivated people with areas such as youth, culture and the environment and people interested in working with young people, with associations and in European (Erasmus + and European Solidarity Corps) and local projects We would love to involve people in areas such as the accompaniment of the elderly, collaboration in different events and local festivals (music, theater, medieval) and people interested in the mass media and in the creation of videos and online radio programs, eco garden, communication through social networks, etc.

Tarefas: together with the full-time staff of the Youth Information Centre – will work together with these associations, with the Culture House, Social Services, Enviroment area (Ecological garden) and Turist Office Information from the Municipality. The volunteers receive information about the work of the Youth Information Centre, particularly in the field of youth information on the local, regional, national and international level.

Condições: Volunteers will receive the quantity of 155 € for Poket money and 150 of Volunteer Allowance / month (will be given to the volunteers at the beginning of each month) in order to take charge of their boarding on their own. In this way they have the possibility to buy what they need and to prepare their food just as they like to. The ESC volunteers will live in a flat, sharing it with other volunteers, in a single room. Furthermore the flat provides all items necessary for living: a washing machine, blankets, iron, dishes, etc.
