Resumo: (Children)
The hosting organizatio is a private organisation managing 21 daycare centers espacially in the region. It was founded with the aim to create places for children in daycare centers that families are able to organize the daily live. Therefore we are offering flexible and long time open services and different modules for daycare. Our daycare offer also is created for people who must educate their children in aggravated conditions and therefore need more support. Our aim ist that every child, unindependent of social or migration background, may have the same opportunities for daycare, support and education, e.g. in sense of speech support. Fort he learning of a language is a requirement for same chances in all areas of live.

Perfil: Age: 18- 30
Volunteers should be interested in child care. Past experience in working with children and young people could be helpful.
Volunteers should be sociable, outgoing, have enthusiasm, and be accepting of foreign cultures.
Volunteers should be able to act individually, but also work well with a team.
Volunteers should have a basic level of the German language. An interest in learning German is expected.
A Class B driver’s license is helpful.
Volunteers should write a ‘project-related motivation letter’. This is a letter about why they want to volunteer at this organization. The decision will be based on motivation. It will not be based on background, gender, language skills, or level of education.

Tarefas: Volunteers can help in the following areas at the kindergarten (according to their interests and earlier experiences):
• Child care and homework support in the kindergarten
Main tasks of volunteers will be: helping and supporting staff members in child care, organizing and leading activities, going on walks and hikes with the children, organisation of games etc.
The education program in the Kindergarten focuses on global as well as intercultural learning and anti-bias education (learning to accept people who are different than you).
Staff members and volunteers must do some daily work, for example:
• preparing group rooms for activities
• organizing and cleaning at the end of work
• support in organising and leading many different free-time activities
• caring for activity materials and equipment
• preparing snacks (small meals);
• helping children to change their clothes
• helping children with toilet training
European Volunteers should follow the rules of our work with young people:
• to accept young people with their own individual personalities
• to cope with stress of challenging behaviours
• full cooperation with staff members
• act loyally and responsibly according to the EVS objectives
• be open to act creatively and flexibly
• to communicate with others to solve problems

Volunteers are invited to bring in their own ideas. Staff members welcome the volunteers to individually develop ideas for youth work activities. The staff will also support the volunteers to plan and run the activities. Volunteers can develop their ideas for new games, activities or stories into a personal project if they want. Creative ideas are always welcome. Volunteers can participate in internal job training meetings.

The assignment of European Volunteers will not substitute a regular job in this project. The volunteers’ activities should grow and deepen the existing child care facilities (employees, building, activities, etc.).
Volunteers will improve the care activities with new ideas and opinions

Condições: Volunteers will get a single room in a shared apartment with kitchen and bathroom. For daily lunch, volunteers will get free meals at the kindergarten. For breakfast and dinner they will get money for food or to cook on their own.
To travel around the region, European Volunteers get a monthly ticket. This ticket is for all forms of public transportation in the area. Volunteers can use the ticket on workdays from 2pm.
