Resumo: For 51 years, the Foundation has been working with people with intellectual disabilities to defend and promote their rights in order to advance towards a more inclusive society. To do so, we strongly believe in the power of education and this is why we want to offer to young people the opportunity to help the most vulnerable people, as this enriching experience can be very helpful to break prejudices around this collective. For this reason we develop
a huge amount of national and European projects related to young people and the promotion of solidarity, tolerance and equality.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
No previous experience in the field of ID is required, our aim is also to spread knowledge and contribute to social inclusion across EU so we are more than happy to provide training to our passionate and motivated volunteers. In terms of language, some Spanish and some Enlgish knowledge is preferred To sum up, if you are interested in personal growth and motivated to contribute to generate a positive impact in communities and have an interest to work and learn from people with ID, Fundació is looking for you to learn and overcome new challenges together!

Tarefas: We are searching for motivated and proactive volunteers with a focus on community building experiences to develop, conduct and assist, along with our team of professionals, tasks and activities in our centers providing comprehensive support and training related to their interests/skillset. To the Inclusion aims to connect international youngsters and people with ID to benefit from a solidary learning process and mutual development. Participants will benefit from the cooperation with a 50 year consolidated organization like Sant Tomàs and will also acquihire competences in Spanish and English improving their employability in the social field.

Condições: Volunteers will stay in a fully equipped flat in the city center, facilitating their social life due to its excellent location. Round trip will be covered according to the ECS grant, as well as food, transportation expenses and pocket money which will be monthly submitted to a personal credit card. This will be the sixth consecutive project and feedbacks have always been positive. We've the resources, structure and experience to allow our volunteers to enjoy this experience in a safe and positive environment.
