Resumo: The Association came into being at the beginning of 2019, from the desire to offer a place for thriving to children who come from monoparental families, who have social or financial difficulties, and to children from the rural area by giving them access to non-formal education. We believe that children can develop amazingly and grow up into being prolific adults if they are given the proper learning environment, in spite of their original background. The children we work with fall into two categories: children from monoparental families, families with financial or social difficulties, rural areas and who are lacking the opportunity to participate in non-formal educational programs and children with normal social backgrounds. Thus, we bring together two different categories of children and teach them to work together, to integrate and to play, by minimizing discrimination.

We provide a rich range of activities, combining outdoor activities (like trips to the forest, to the animal farm, sports, games, zip-line) with indoor activities (learning foreign languages, crafts and workshops, wall climbing and other indoor sports, music, dance, theatre, and many other activities). Children who fit into our target group are aged from 4 to 12 years old. We contribute to broadening their horizon, have a positive impact over their overall development and on their personal lives.

Perfil: - Ages between 18 and 30 years old
- Resident of an EU country
- Motivation to learn Romanian, in order to improve the relationship with the children
- Good planning skills for the lessons and other education activities
- Responsibility, patience and tolerance
- The volunteers should be flexible and creative, interested in contributing to a better life for children and in helping them evolve culturally, socially, emotionally, personally, intellectually.

Key responsibilities
1. Flexible and creative, interested in contributing to a better life for children and to help them develop culturally, socially, emotionally, personally, intellectually.
2. Planning and holding language courses, cultural events, workshops about things they have learned about or, better, about which they are passionate about.
3. Organizing cultural events in which volunteers will present their customs and traditions from their countries of origin.
4. Teach children foreign languages (English)

Tarefas: 1.Rocks of Self
The activities correlated to this objective are: creative workshops (crafts, music, dance, art), playing sports and indoor/outdoor games, and week-long camps throughout the year, with a daily schedule from 8 am to 6 pm (during spring, summer, autumn and winter), in which children will find it easier to integrate.

2. Rocks of Community
Therefore, being active and publishing content on social media, writing articles for our website, organising cultural and social events for our community, facilitating the After School from the association and from our local schools, camps, recreational activities and developing skills such as foreign languages (English), and planning birthday parties for children from our community and our target groups. These are going to be the activities by which we want to reach our goal to build a strong community.

3. Rocks of Nature
For this objective, we want to focus especially on the local area, by giving to children the opportunity to share their caring to plants, animals and forests in our community, and to the community to bring its expertise about nature and share it with us in the local events that we want to organise for this exchange of knowledge, skills, attitudes and behaviours related to nature. We will help both the children and the volunteers to learn how to care for plants, animals and the environment.
The volunteers will switch their department every couple of months, depending on the needs of each volunteer.
