Resumo: The hosting organization is a grass-roots NGO that was founded by an ex-EVS volunteer, who wanted to offer similar life-changing experiences to other young people in the northwest of Germany. Starting of as an informal group in 2010, we became an NGO in 2011 and steadily grew our team and networks. We gradually extended our network, and as of 2021, we host 3 volunteers in our team and coordinate 10 more volunteers in different organisations in our city. Also, we are the sending organisation for more than 15 volunteers on the ESC programme per year.
Occasionally, we take on interns through the Erasmus+ programme. Our target groups are young people and youth workers. In order to also reach young people with fewer opportunities, we particularly cooperate with organisations who work with that target group.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

Tarefas: • Helping to maintain the garden and house especially in spring and summer – is our beautiful youth house, which is located ca. 30 min by bus from your volunteer house in the middle of a forest. This means for example: taking care of the plants, watering them, weeding out the flower beds, planting new plants.
• Focus on development of your own ideas in the garden and around the house – previous volunteer projects were i.e. a compost, bird houses, raised bed gardens etc., as well as workshops on sustainability and DIY projects.
• Helping us develop a strategy for a more sustainable use of the house – i.e. helping with different projects/initiatives inside and outside the house, establishing connections with neighbors and local farms, …
• Working together with the team members in all areas and especially with our other three volunteers in Social Media, Content Creation and Local Community Connections.
• Organizing small local projects for the community of Bremen together with the other 14 ESC volunteers.
