Resumo: The hosting organization was created in 2017 in order to manage a new place, shared and unifying, open to everyone to enhance creativity, citizen's initiatives, share competences and create synergies among citizens and the associative sector.

It has therefore different aims:

1. To promote creative and collaborative economy, to promote culture, arts, artists, knowledge sharing, transition initiatives and more generally citizen's initiatives, social links creation and the social cohesion strengthening
2. To allow individuals, organisations, craftsmen, citizen groups to create and develop an activity of any type (economic, social, cultural, handmade, artistic)... while benefitting the local community
3. To link economic and creative dynamics in one common logic of environmental sustainability and solidarity while putting in common human and material ressources
4. To empower the individuals, the groups and the organisations; to stimulate the active citizens abilities, the associative and cooperative practices, the entreneurship and the sharing and transmission of knowledges and know-hows

Additionally, the Monty is managing quite a big space which gathers a concert hall of 150 seats as well as convivial spaces (bar, and multipurposes space...). It can host various cultural, private, associative or citizen activities (meetings, workshops, shows, co working spaces...).

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Our project is open to anybody motivated by volunteering and who wishes to be involved in our organization and working in the field of culture, regardless to their nationality, religion, believes, diploma, professional experience. A volunteer comfortable with any type of public, willing to learn French, interested in transition towns topic and alternative pedagogies, artistic, flexible, willing to share about her/his culture and country...

Tarefas: The volunteers will be carrying different tasks, in collaboration with the theatre (puppet show),and with a secondary school using Freinet pedagogy.
These tasks could be for example: helping to welcome guests during events and thematic evenings (cinema club, trainings, etc.), evenings, themed taverns, entertainment and bar keeping, Wednesday afternoon board games organization, providing a weekly logistical and technical support to local volunteers running the solidarity grocery store P’tits Pots, support the implementation of the festival Genappe perd la boule, help in workshops at the school (artistic, english, handcrafts...)

Condições: Accommodation with two other ESC volunteers in Genappe town. Private rooms and shared bathroom, kitchen and living room. Food and pocket money is provided every month to the volunteer, who has to manage his/her budget by him/herself. The accommodation and the place where the volunteering take place are close to each other, and therefore reachable by walking.
