The organization is committing to ensuring that young people have the knowledge, skills, and motivation to be effective civic participants who bring their environmental values to public decisionmaking. By implementing the project we want, with the help of the volunteers, to promote to students from the high schools, through non-formal activities and workshops, the following 5 principles of environmental education:
1- Awareness: to acquire knowledge of pollution and environmental degradation.
2- Knowledge: to acquire variety of experience in, and acquire a basic understanding of the environment and its associated problems
3- Attitudes: to acquire a set of values for environmental protection.
4- Skills and capacity Building: acquire the skills for identifying and solving environmental problems. Further, to develop ability to draw unbiased inferences and conclusions.

The project will consist in:
1. Rise awareness, knowledge and skills on ways to reduce, reuse and recycle of 70 youth in 2 high schools in Bailesti by implementing 80 non-formal workshops that use non-formal methods. The workshops will be organized by ACT and project volunteers and will use a wide variety of non-formal games and methods(handicraft using recyclables, role playing games, learning by doing, presentations, etc.) to create ecoconscious future citizens that understand and are willing to play their part in protecting the environment.
2. Organize the school students to design, plan and implement in common 4 community eco-friendly initiatives. This will aim to have the volunteers galvanize the school student population into debate about eco-friendly initiatives, collect ideas, brainstorm, plan and finally help facilitate, organize and implement the initiative. We will organize 1 such initiative per month, with the exact imitative being the planned together with the beneficiaries (it can be many things such as organizing a wide area clean up in one of the areas of the city such as the river banks, planting trees, exposition of recycling ideas etc. ). The goal here is to get students used to and enthusiastic about eco-friendly initiatives, provide direct community impact, lead by example and provide youth empowerment.
