Resumo: The FAIRbund organisation is an independent sponsor of child and youth welfare in Leipzig. FAIRbund is a non-profit organisation with a wide range of services. The association's work focuses on the operation of six day-care facilities for children, the area of educational assistance (day-care group, residential group, outpatient family assistance), the management of guardianship, family education and assistance for families with newborn babies, day-care for children, school social work, projects with partners in Europe, educational and family counselling, a socio-cultural centre and projects with volunteers. Each day care centre of the FAIRbund e.V. has developed its own profile. Topics in the facilities include early childhood education,
intercultural learning, language development, nature education and open group work. Every year, our day care centres accept volunteers into their team, who actively participate in shaping everyday life and actively support the work of the kindergartens with their own ideas and offers. They inspire the children and families and with their ideas they help to strengthen life in a multicultural community. Every year, the EU Exchange Projects Office gives one volunteer the opportunity to actively participate in preparing young people from Germany for a stay abroad or in organising a youth exchange. Own ideas are welcome and especially in the field of public relations - making films, writing articles on Instagram, Facebook and the website are examples wherre the volunteer can get actively involved.

Since 2017, the FAIRbund e.V. has been the sponsor of the socio-cultural centre Buddehaus and since then it has been accepting one volunteer in the centre. The socio-cultural centre offers the volunteer a variety of opportunities to realise his or her own small projects in the cultural field and at the same time support the daily work of the centre. In addition, there is the possibility to receive a volunteer for 3-6 months in a socio-pedagogically supervised residential group, who could support the work with the children and young people, especially in the afternoon or on weekends and holiday trips.
