Resumo: (youth)
The hosting organization is a vocational and rural training centre. It welcomes young people from 14 to 20 years old (80% are girls) for the initial and continuing education in Early Childhood. The students participate in the daily life of the institution, they carry out the maintenance of the collective premises - a large part of them are boarding students - which allows to develop an intense collective life and their autonomy.

Perfil: We are looking for 1 volunteer, from 18' up to 30'. Basic skills in French are requested as well as competencies like
adaptability, flexibility, organisation/communication skills, creativity, sense of initiative. Besides, we need volunteers with a good knowledge of IT tools to make posters, flyers... The volunteer must have the willingness to work with young people and to prepare activities with/for them. Besides, the volunteer must be ready to go out of his/her comfort zone to create a link with pupils. Most importantly, he/she must be able to help to handle a group with dynamism.

Tarefas: - To raise young learners’ European awareness (foreign language learning, European culture, etc.) through original
methods (CV in English, Erasmus internship preparation);
- To lead cultural projects, to organize reading workshops in the structures that host our trainees
- To lead writing workshops with our usual local partners;
- To set up thematic weeks linked to European countries by promoting the cross-disciplinary teaching practices in MFR
- To give a new breath to the school library by creating new friendly spaces - with the ideas and participation of the
young learners
- To participate in the collective life of the boarding school by organizing workshops, debate, movie-debates, etc.
- To create a different link with the local partners by bringing a European touch (culture, language, daily life, eating
habits) to activities in nurseries, medico-educational centres, senior clubs, schools, etc.

Condições: The volunteer will be accommodated in a studio flat in a youth accommodation centre in the city centre.
Food: we give each month 220 € for all food expenditures but it's also possible to have meals at work.
Transports: we will give a monthly subscription for the bus network. The volunteer will take the bus to go from
the accommodation place to the centre. The bus stop is next to the accommodation centre.
