Resumo: Youth Centre was founded in 1998. It is a public institute, located in a town in central Slovenia. It provides activities for young people between 7 and 30 years, their parents, youth workers and other experts in the field of youth and social work.

The principal aims of the Youth Centre are:
- to provide support for youth in the local area,
- to give them opportunity to spend their free time wisely and
- to encourage them to get actively involved in a society on a local, national, and international level.

To achieve these goals we run various activities, which are held by Youth Centre Domžale alone or in cooperation with other Slovenian and international organizations.
Activities include: educational activities (with special focus on the recognition of non-formal education and development of new competences for personal and professional growth of young people), voluntary work, cultural and creative workshops, sport activities, information and counselling, prevention activities, intergenerational activities, promotion of active participation and active citizenship, international activities.

Youth Centre runs Erasmus+ and European Solidarity Corps programmes on regular basis. We organise youth exchanges, mobility of youth workers, long term individual volunteering and short-term volunteering teams projects. Since 2015 we are regional partner of Eurodesk network. We have five employees and number of volunteers, who help us on weekly basis.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Youth Centre is looking for 1 volunteer to bring international dimension into the organisation and its projects.
We are looking for a volunteer, who is motivated to work in a youth centre, work with young people and deliver various activities with the visitors of the youth centre. Volunteering hours add up to 35 hours per week. Activities are diverse and a good learning opportunity for volunteers.
We are looking for a volunteer who is:
• fluent in English
• has experiences or wishes to work in a youth centre
• is flexible in working hours (35 hours per week, mornings and afternoons, occasionally also weekends)
• would like to spend time with local youngsters.

Tarefas: Volunteer will have opportunity to meet other volunteers on trainings and connect with local youth. The tasks of the volunteer:
• Help with the implementation of the programme of youth centre (free time activities in daily centre, cultural events, workshops, educational workshops, holiday programme etc.)
• There will be a space for own activities/projects, which will depend on the interest of the volunteer.
• Take part in street youth work activities.
• Support and taking part in the group ESC project on upcycling.
• Promotion

Condições: Transport costs will be covered in accordance with the European Commission distance belt calculator for the Erasmus+ programme. Acommodation and food arrangements will be covered from the programme and arranged in agreement with the volunteer.
