Resumo: We are a group of teachers who love teaching and think education should be more conceptual, practical, and generally more appealing to the youth of today. Of course, sheer academics is also incredibly important but during our work in International (IB) schools and community schools in the UK and around the world we’ve learned how important outdoor learning for classroom achievements. We can learn factual information inside the classroom, but it is much harder to learn everyday skills for life. Skills combined with facts create concepts and are much easier to grasp and understand.

Mathematics was crucial for the development of trade and engineering as well as for farming. Biology is crucial for survival and farming. Geography, History, Art all the subjects we teach in schools have been developed because they were useful. They served the purpose. And we would like to show your pupils the purpose.

The outdoor activities are one of the most popular ways of enriching the curriculum in the UK, USA or Australia. The organization has been recognized as a very important part of students’ development. The Duke of Edinburgh (DoE) award gives you additional points when applying to the best Universities including Oxford and Cambridge.
Our aim is to give the development opportunity for kids who cannot afford to participate in such activities. We strongly believe that all students should have similar opportunities. We know it is not always possible, but therefore we decided to go for the trust. We fund outdoor enrichment program for kids who cannot afford to go.

Targer groups: children, youth, people with fever opportunities

With the organization nobody stays behind. Kids are our future so let’s make sure the future is going to be good.
Our foundation operates in 3 different areas: work with village and underprivileged students, outdoor education and English Summer Camps. All our activities are strongly connected with education.

Perfil: Young person (18-30 y.o.) who is:
- aware of the project's aims and objectives
- knows the own reason of the participation in the European Solidarity Corps
- open-minded
- tolerant
- team-player
- pro-active
- willing to work in an international group - ready to facilitate workshops for kindergarden, high school students
- ready to learn and participate in training, seminars, and events

*additional advantage will be if the applicant is equipped with tools, skills, and experience in non-formal education activities/ graphic design/ visual communication/ public speaking and performing.

Tarefas: We organize workshops and activities for all types of students. We teach English but, as usual with our Foundation, we don’t have lessons, but we learn mainly through play. During the activities we communicate in English, the instructions are being given also in English so good spoken English is essential. We prepare all the tasks together and we make sure volunteers know how to lead the group and solve the problems, but we also tell them to not interfere too much. The group has to create its own dynamics. Our aim is to give the development opportunity for everybody, especially kids who cannot afford to participate in such activities. With Learn Outdoors nobody stays behind. Kids are our future so let’s make sure the future is going to be good. Your stay will be divided into summer/winter camps (outside of the city) and helping us in the school.

Condições: Accommodation: you will stay in the apartment (fully equipped), with other volunteers. Food: You will receive money for the food. During summer and winter camp - food will be provided.
Transport: Your travel from/to your home country will be reimbursed. You will receive a monthly ticket for traveling in the city.
