Resumo: (activities with people with disabilities)
The volunteer will work in a residential group for people with disabilities.
The Stephanus Foundation coordinates over 80 institutions all over Berlin and Brandenburg for people with disabilities, children and youth and older people.
The residential group with about eight people with mental disabilities between 23 and 30 years living together, assisted by staff members.
Each of the residents has their own room, living as independently as possible. The project aims at offering the residents the same chances and opportunities as people without disabilities, including similar residential circumstances. Therefore, the group is located on the 7th floor of an apartment building in Berlin-Buch.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
- motivation to work in the project
- ready to work and live with people with mental disabilities (experience in this field would be welcome but not necessary)
- willing to take responsibility and work independently
- be prepared to work in individual care and support
- basic knowledge of the German language would be an advantage
- reliability and punctuality

Tarefas: The volunteer will assist the residents in those situations where they need support: to offer and support free time activities such as gardening, playing music, etc., homework, guidance when going shopping, cooking
