Resumo: The hosting organization is a not governmental non-profit organization, which takes as an object the accomplishment of the charitable and social action of the Church in the Diocese, as well as to promote and to coordinate the Christian Communication of Goods in all its forms and to help to the human promotion and to the integral development of people, especially the most disadvantaged or neglected.

Organization´s purposes are:

a) To spread the spirit of charity and social justice, trying to raise awareness
of the diocesan community about the Christian Communication of Goods
and the fulfillment of the duties of Justice in conformity with the orientations of the Hierarchy.

b) To promote and to coordinate initiatives in collaboration with other entities, in order to solve the problems of the people in need and to cooperate to the organization's purposes with the provincial and regional organizations of assistance and social action, as well as with the entities of charitable action of other confessions .

c) To train people to become volunteers willing to help and to realize charitable - social actions and to train permanently all its members in the spirit and ways of doing of the organization.

d) To study the problems that the poverty raises in the Diocese, to investigate the reasons and consequences, to be voice and critical conscience and to promote, to encourage and to urge solutions even about the structural injustices
regarding with the dignity of the person and the requirements of the justice .

e) To coordinate and to promote the action of the organization' Organizations as well as the Associations and the integrated Institutions of charitable and social actionin, and to promote the Christian Communication of Goods among them, so that the Church can give a community testimony of unit and charity.

f) To offer collaboration in the development of the initiatives undertaken by the people in need to improve their conditions of life.

g) To promote and to help the developing countries through projects and actions of awareness and emergency campaigns .

h) To contribute to the functional development of the members and to promote the creation of the Organizations where it is needed.

i) To carry out attention to people and groups when the institutions and the entities of the Church or of the civil society can't do it properly.

Perfil: Age:

Tarefas: the volunteer will carry out various activities in the different centers of the hosting organization.

1.Temporary Reception Center: it offers first contact and reception to homeless people. It can also be the starting point of the itinerary of the project Back to being in which after a certain period of time the homeless people can access to the Regional Reintegration Center. Leisure activities such as games, walking and sport are demanded.

2. Regional Reintegration Center: specializing in caring for the homeless people in their second phase of integration. Here the users are trained in order to get back to their lives, they learn to adapt themselves to enter properly in the social and working world.

3. Senior Center: center for old people in which it’s important to develop and/or to improve the users’autonomy. Accompaniment, dialogue, walks, leisure activities with the users of the center are required.

4. Soup Kitchen:distribution of food for people in need.

5. Wardrobe: clothing distribution point for people in need.
