The hosting organization has been founded in 2016, as the operative arm, the pastoral branch of the Church. It is a no-profit organization that answers the call of the bishop to promote charity with a commitment towards raising public awareness.

The organization is connected to the Church and is committed in their daily activities to support the most vulnerable people. The church and the organization are engaged in many areas including peace, old and new forms of poverty, volunteering, civil service, immigration, mental health, socio-professional inclusion and homelessness. Moreover, as part of the diocesan Church, the organization works to raise awareness on issues around charity, care for those in need and it promotes the importance of concrete actions for the poor.

The organization coordinates various initiatives and charitable actions, inspired by Christian values and Church teachings. It is engaged in many projects to help poor, disadvantaged people and in cooperation with any kind of people, regardless of their religion, faith and ethnic origins. We also organize and coordinate emergency responses to disasters in the diocesan area and abroad.

We carry out research on the causes of poverty and provide analyses concerning those in need, which can encourage civil institutions to take the appropriate actions through legislation or actions. Moreover, we provide training for staff and contribute to social development by awakening public opinion, offering services, financial help as well as by coordinating the initiatives of the various groups and movements inspired by Christian values.
The organization works alongside several other Christian and laical organizations. We are linked to other local church all over Italy in order to share public campaigns of awareness, activities for poor people, educational and training courses for staff members.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers with different backgrounds such as age, gender, previous experience, study path, and so on will be welcome. And there will be no discrimination against gender, religion, political or sexual orientation.
However, the knowledge of Italian language will be appreciated. The choice of volunteers
will be made on the basis of their motivation, interest and the willingness to play an active role in their project.

Tarefas: The weekly activities will take place in different locations:
1- at the Foundation seat where the volunteers will support those responsible to offer assistance services to immigrants or to people with economic, social and family difficulties; they will support those responsible in welcoming and accompanying homeless or people with housing difficulties.

2-in the Student House: coaching service in laboratories for the job placement of disadvantaged people, cooking workshops, carpentry, tailoring.

3-in the cooperative for the cultivation of vegetables, preparation of food bags and packages for retail sale, support of differently abled workers / trainees in the various activities of the company.

4. in schools and other places where they will participate in various initiatives in the socio-educational field (schools, summer centers, after-school, summer camps) both with children and young people. It will be possible to participate in a summer camp in Bosnia and Herzegovina in August with young people of different origins.

Condições: The Foundation will offer board and lodging. The rooms are located next to the office. Each volunteer will have a single room and will share the common areas (equipped kitchen, toilet and laundry) together with other young Italian volunteers.
In addition, each volunteer will receive a sum for personal expenses (Pocket Money). Transportation for the various activities will be guaranteed by the organization For other journeys it is possible to use the train or the bus. The station and bus stops can also be reached on foot. Bicycles will be made available for traveling within the city.
