Resumo: (environment)
In welcoming this initiative, the hosting organization wishes to implement a new volunteering project, which to contribute to protecting the environment and to promoting the ecological education at the level of 6 rural communities from Valcea county. The project is based on a simple idea, to join the community in order to build solidarity.
The main aim of the project is the initiation and implementation of voluntary activities in support of environment protection, ecological education and prevention of climate change. Another aim of the project is to support the initiative of 6 local communities in Valcea county to establish an UNESCOGeopark.

Tarefas: August-October 2022:
1.Launching conference of the project.
2.Inteercultural nights.
3.On arrival training course organized by National Agency.
4. Promotion at national and European level of the area of the UNESCO Geopark in online
5. Activities in the nursery garden from Horezu.
6. Creating a web/instagram and facebook page of the project.
7.Planting trees in national parks.
8. Afforestation actions of 50 hectares located in the Geopark area.
November 2022-February 2023:
1. Organization of ecological education workshops in schools from the 4 rural communities: 10
reasons for more green. Ecological education workshops in 4 rural schools
with the following themes: How photography can influence the natureprotection; Responsible consumption for minimal losses; Making objects from recyclable materials; Education for environment and eco school: 10 reasons for more green. Ecological education workshops. Workshops will have a duration of 6 hours, of which 2 hours of workshop preparation and 4 hours of activity with students from schools. The topic of the workshops will be: volunteering + green = life; ecology and creative recycling; ideas for saving natural resources; solving environmental problems of the
community where we live.
2. Organization of seminars and debates on obtaining the status of UNESCO- Geopark.
3. Activities in the nursery garden.
4. Production and printing of a bi-annual magazine: Eco-Natura.
5. Making films to promote the national parks.
6. Monitoring wildlife in the two national parks: setting up cameras, downloading and processing films, posting films on the website and Facebook, making an annual documentary film about wildlife in the two national parks.
7. Studies and research on the declaration of virgin forests as UNESCO natural heritage (identification of virgin forests, creation of a map of the natural area, description of virgin forest, internationally promotion of virgin forest).
March-June 2023:
1. Initiation of the Geopark-Junior program through which educational activities will be organized to support the environment with students from the 4 communities: hiking in the park, presentations in schools, workshops for making objects from recyclable materials, photography exhibitions.
2.Greening activities of the Geopark area: selective waste collection; placing information panels; construction of stalls for tourists (benches and tables).
3.Media campaign to promote the environment protection and advertising of the Geopark
4.Organization of seminars and debates on obtaining the status of Geopark-UNESCO and finalization of the technical documentation for obtaining the status of UNESCO Geopark.
5. Monitoring wildlife in the two national parks: setting up cameras, downloading and processing films, posting films on the website and Facebook, making an annual documentary film about wildlife in the two national parks.
6.Afforestation actions of 50 hectares located in the Geopark area.
July 2023:
1.Creation of a mobile photo exhibition on environmental themes. A photo exhibition will be organized every year using the photo-voice method.
2. Finalise study and research on the declaration of virgin forests as UNESCO natural heritage (identification of virgin forests, creation of a map of the natural area, description of virgin forest, internationally promotion of virgin forest).
3.Intercultural nights.
4. Final conferenceof the voluntaryactivity.Final evaluation and delivered of Youthpasses.
