The hosting organization is operating within network of 9 Finnish youth Centres under the auspices of the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture. The work is determined by the Finnish Youth Law and the Youth Act. As a Finnish youth centre is using Youth centre pedagogical approaches. The main tasks of the Centre is to provide youth services to ensure empowerment, personal development, and internationalization of the target group - young people of Finland.
Our core values are reflected in our development strategy and correspond with the values of the Finnish youth centres network.

Perfil: The project is looking for one motivated young individual (age 20-29), who is eager to develop their artistic and creative skills, engage in team activities with young people from other countries, learn about different cultures and share their own culture with others. Interest in culture, history, arts and creativity, media, digital resources and languages will be a benefit.

Tarefas: The main task is to help in development of PR and communication of the organization in social media platforms. The volunteer will participate in camp-school related activities and learn basic Finnish youth centre pedagogy and Finnish cultural background. The volunteer will help running events and projects, which gather hundreds of international participants annually.
Tasks for volunteers include assisting youth workers in running camp school activities, arranging workshops in local youth house, social media posts, occasionally helping out in the kitchen/maintenance, personal creative project. Love for nature, working with young people, and spending time in secluded locations are essential!

Condições: Accommodation in the youth centre, in a single room with shared shower, kitchen. Meals are served in cafeteria. Travel costs, accommodation and meals are covered by the hosting organization. Volunteers get pocket money, and a bicycle to go to the city (3.5 km away).
