Resumo: (Children and young people)
The hosting organization aims to provide activities for young people by customer orientated manner, including the youth already in planning process. Our pedagogical emphasis is based on educational, social empowering and meeting the individual needs of each young in all our stages in all our activities. Youth policy in youth services includes improving and empowering young people seizing the potential points of influencing and improving their living conditions and bringing out in the open the interests and issues of young people.

The organization offers a variety of activities for children and young people in three youth spaces , in mobile activities, various small group activities (including game groups and primary school activities) and youth work in schools. In addition, camps, excursions and more are organized during the holidays activities. Youth services activities’ primary target group is children in the age of 10-17 years.

Perfil: We look for volunteers over 20 years old, outgoing, initiative and capable to work with children and youth. Ability to process own views of the activities, and capability to plan and carry out/implement activities for children and young people aged mainly between 13-17 years is essential. Due to the housing arrangements, it is important that volunteers are capable of living together with a person coming possibly from a different cultural background. Adequate English skills and accredited sending organisation are required.

Tarefas: The volunteer will participate in the activities for 9–25-years old youth in the youth houses and mobile unit by organising e.g. multicultural education in an afternoon club and by taking part in youth evenings. Work can be carried out also in other activities which the organization provide e.g. school youth work.
The organizarion also engourage volunteers to co-operation with other municipal actors. All activities will be carried out together with the youth workers regarding the professional skills and interests of the volunteer. During holidays (autumn, winter and summer holiday) various events involving the volunteers will be organised. Lot of work will be done in the evenings and some in the weekends.

Condições: Volunteer will be accommodated in an apartment. Apartment is located close to the city centre. The volunteer will stay in the same apartment, consisting two individual bedrooms, two shared bathrooms, shared kitchen and living room and small backyard. Volunteer will be given bicycles which is useful way of getting around.
Meals are mainly provided at the High School.
Volunteers are also provided travel cards for the Regional Transport to get around within the capital region.
