Resumo: (work with disable people)
Since 1962 the organisation provides different institutions and services in the area. The institutions are day-care centres for children and day-care centres, residences, workshops and different need-oriented services, for example leisure time activities, for people of all ages with disabilities. Each year the association LEBENSHILFE funds holiday camps for 200 persons with disabilities.
The residence was opened in 2004 and is now the home of 52 adults with mental and psychic disabilities. It consists of three houses and has 48 single rooms and four double rooms, with each two rooms sharing a bathroom. For the most parts the residence is barrier-free.
Each of the four assisted housing groups owns an individually designed recreation room (a combination of kitchen, dining room and living room), where most of the common living takes place. There is also one additional housing group for persons with a high need for assistance. The assistance for the residents is provided by both specialised staff and volunteers. They support the residents with their everyday life, their plans for the future and the realisation of their personal goals. The residents receive also support when they are planning their freetime and holidays. The offers are diverse and need-oriented, they leave room for creativity and vary from cooking to sports and art projects.
