Resumo: The Hosting organization has existed as an extracurricular place of learning since 1929. On an
area of 32,500 square meters, based very near to the forest, the organization wants to combine education with fun and offer young people a place for rest and slowing down, where creativity and imagination can be lived out in community. It has 75 beds and is booked at peak times for around 8.000 overnight stays a year.

The organization is visited by school classes as well as children's and youth groups, who are offered
projects in the areas of sustainability, nature and regionality.

The founder of the organization is a non-profit association whose desire it is to create awareness for a sustainable future.
According to its statutes, the association wants to raise awareness among the visitors of the organization.
for a sustainable future and, within the framework of its pedagogical concept in the sense of education for sustainable development, enable them to stand up for the respect of their natural livelihood.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
Volunteers are expected to enjoy working with people (especially children and young people) and working outdoors in nature. The volunteer should always show openness and be understanding even with special needs of the guests. Furthermore, the volunteer should be independent, motivated, enthusiastic and interested in sustainability.
Furthermore, the volunteer should be willing to be alone in the facility (e.g. on weekends when there
are no guests).

Tarefas:  Support in the implementation of activities and projects in the house and the surrounding area of the country school home
 Projects in the areas of forest and environmental education, sustainability as well as climate and mobility. In 2022 we are going to establish a bee project and an outdoor kitchen.

Concrete activities in this area are for example:
 Accompanying the guests during the day's activities
 Collaboration in the kitchen (sustainable catering with regional, seasonal and ecologically produced ingredients, few meat products)
 Caretaking, repairs, maintenance of the outdoor area
 Care of our animals (goats, pot-bellied pigs, dog...)
 Luggage transport, shopping (from 2022 also with our e-bike)
 Accompanying the night walks
 and much more...

Horário: Working hours are approximately 35 hours per week. Volunteers have two days off per week, but
these are not necessarily weekends.
Volunteers have 24 vacation days per year (2 vacation days per month of service).

Condições: The volunteer is accommodated in his/her own apartment in the school hostel, which may be shared with a second volunteer. Everyone gets a single room, the kitchen and the bathroom are shared. The apartment has a TV and internet connection.

During the working hours, the volunteers can take part in the common meals of the institution. Dinner is prepared by the volunteers themselves. For this and for their days off and vacations, the volunteers will receive a food allowance. In addition, the volunteers receive 150 € pocket money per month, and the costs of insurance are also covered. We also reimburse the costs of travelling to Springe and back at the beginning and at the end of the project.

The volunteers take part in two seminars (the costs are covered) on the topics of personal development, social, intercultural and political education, vocational orientation, etc
