Resumo: (Horse Therapy)
The hosting organization is a non-profit entity, recognized as a provider of services by the Department of Social Welfare of the Generalitat and accredited as a Service for the Promotion of Autonomy Personnel for Psychosocial habilitation services and Occupational therapy, Early Attention and Cognitive Stimulation.

The Association emerged in 2007 with the aim of offering an inclusive therapeutic and equestrian leisure service for all people with special needs, both physical, mental and sensory, as well as those at risk of social exclusion.
At the organization we carry out therapies with children with functional diversity of speech therapy, physiotherapy and neuropsychology in rooms or on horses, adapted riding and therapeutic riding. During the year school groups also attend to enjoy a day of leisure with horse

The organization has a professional team made up of psychologists, speech therapists and physiotherapists who, together with equestrian monitors, carry out therapy sessions for children. The volunteers carry out an accompaniment and support function in the sessions, each afternoon they can accompany a professional doing different activities with the children and the cabins.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
there is no specific profile. we need genuine and interested people, keen to work with people with functional diversity and horses. experience in the field is welcome as well as a basic level of spanish. responsible. high motivation. flexibility. open-minded. respectful. people who want to have more experience in a certain field out of their comfort zone or even to those people who don't know what to do after their studies and want to try different things.

Tarefas: we are looking for interested potential volunteers from eu program countries (unfortunately no options for visa) to realise their mobility within the host organisation the therapeutic interventions aptc centre, a non-profit entity, recognised as a provider of services for the promotion of personal autonomy for psychosocial enable services and occupational therapy, early care and cognitive stimulation for people with functional diversity with the help of horses. tasks:
+ help with the basic hygiene care of horses
+ help in the physical preparation and training of the therapy horses
+ help during the adapted equestrian therapy sesions.
schedule 5 days a week (max 35 hours) 2 consecutive days off

Condições: volunteers will live in a shared flat. the flat contains all the necessary amenities. volunteers will receive money at the beginning of each month in order to proceed to the purchase of their food, personal hygiene and cleaning products and only for this purpose as well as pocket money. the volunteers will receive during the whole project a monthly transport card which allows the travel in metro and bus
