Founded in 1976, the hosting organization is a non-profit organization that works to attend the necessities of children, teenagers and adults with disabilities, mental health disorders and/or at risk of social exclusion. The association’s main goal is to offer comprehensive care to its target group according to their needs and interests – and those of their families - in order to achieve their maximum human development and promote social inclusion.

The organization is composed of different areas: education and therapy, housing, training and employment, labour and other multidisciplinary teams. The association is part of different networks at a local. At the moment, the organization provides support to 323 people with disability, employs 313 professionals - 53 of them with disabilities -, has 547 members and counts on 143 local volunteers.

Perfil: Age: 18-30
there is no specific profile. we need genuine and interested people, keen to work with people with functional diversity. experience in the field is welcome as well as a basic level of spanish. responsible. high motivation. flexibility. open-minded. respectful. people who want to have more experience in a certain field out of their comfort zone or even to those people who don't know what to do after their studies and want to try different things.

Tarefas: we are looking for interested potential volunteer from eu program countries (unfortunately no options for visa) to realise their mobility within the host organisation.
tasks:
+ occupational activity workshops: support functions to monitor in preparing productive tasks.
+ miscellaneous sports: support the monitor along with the sports activities (training, clothing, etc...).
+ crafts workshop: support functions to monitor in making the workshop, besides accompanying disabled people, supervision and assistance in their work.
+ literacy workshop: support functions to monitor in schooling activities (read, write, mathematics, etc...).
+ therapy workshop: support functions to the therapeutic professional in the preparation of group relaxation sessions and therapeutic physical exercises.
+ storytelling workshop: support the monitor during the activity of reading and post-reflexing round.
+ transport accompaniment: assist during the pickup and delivery of users.

Condições: volunteers will live in a shared flat. the flat contains all the necessary amenities. volunteers will receive money at the beginning of each month in order to proceed to the purchase of their food, personal hygiene and cleaning products and only for this purpose as well as pocket money. the volunteers will receive during the whole project a monthly transport card which allows the travel in metro and bus.
