In our approach to children and education, we are based primarily on the concept of forest kindergartens. This concept is not defined in detail as Montessori, Waldorf, intuitive pedagogy, Jena's plan and the like. Above all, they are a daily stay in the forest and respectful approach, based on non-violent communication and an equal relationship between adults and children.

Our kindergarten was one of the first in the country. At that time, we received first advice and inspiration from the Lower Austrian kindergarten Waldorf, which had many years of experience at the time, and is also culturally set in a country where LMŠ already had a decades-old tradition. Much of the original know-how from this kindergarten persists in our country to this day.

We have been constantly evolving since our inception. Each of the guides, each of the coordinators, each family with children left their mark. We have elements from Waldorf and Montessori, intuitive pedagogy, but most of all we try to be my own, to respond to what our children need most, what suits them. Individually and in groups.

Perfil: Age: 18-30

The volunteer can be any enthusiastic person, who wants to have experience in work with children, who has an appropriate physical condition (the forest club program involves outdoor physical activities during all seasons) and mental fitness (the children can be sometimes noisy and very active).
Open-mindedness, playfulness and sense of humour are appreciated as well as a good level of spoken english. We do not require any specific education.
In case there are more applicants with similar profile we prefer a person who can stay for a longer time, best option would be the whole year.

Tarefas: activities with the children

Condições: The volunteer will have his/her own room in a house. This house will be shared with another 3-4 volunteers, together they will use the kitchen and bathroom. Lunches will be served in the organization during school time.
The volunteer will arrange his meal in the morning, in the evening and during week-ends. Invitations for dinner or weekend lunches from the school families are very likely to be happening...
The transport to/from the Forest Family Club could be arranged by parents driving their children. There is also quite a good bus connection and a bicycle.
