Perfil: Basic knowledge of Spanish (spoken).
- Experience in working with youth in the youth association field or any other field related with youth.
- Being a dynamic, active, participating, sociable person with own initiatives, ideas and able to dialogues.
- Have the capacity to collaborate with a multicultural group.
- The creativity is very important in our project.

Tarefas: We offer service and learning opportunities regarding 3 topics highlighted by the European Youth White Book: Information, Participation and Mobility.

Thus, they will participate in the activities of the 3 areas described:
Collaborate offering information about topics of interest
-Support staff in youth activities and with organisations
-Cooperate, with the staff members, elaborating and developing EU projects
-Collaborate with staff members in training activities.
These tasks include no job substitution, as the centres count with stable structures and staff. Furthermore, there are specific tasks for volunteers. Tasks which are not administrative and non-profitable. Time of participation: from Monday to Friday, from 11 am to 2 pm and from 5:30 to 8:30 pm. Language training is included: 1.5 hours twice a week. Holidays: 30 days/12 months of activity.

Activities

1. Information. Youth Information Centre:
Here they will learn youth information and youth entertainment techniques and European information networks. They will carry out their tasks in direct contact with young people, always with the support of our staff. Some of their tasks will be: collaboration distributing youth information through the web site and social networks, as well as support elaborating a digital information bulleting, search of information in the Internet,...

2. Consultancy Office for the promotion of European youth programmes and volunteering

We offer young people information and counselling regarding European initiatives, especially YiA activities. Aim: to bring the European reality closer to our town and promote initiatives and creativity, as well as direct participation in projects.

They will also collaborate with the staff in:
- Youth exchanges Contact with partners, help preparing projects, collaboration preparing information files, support host exchange activities, etc.
- Support specific activities. Exchange parties, courses, etc.
- Youth organisations. Contact and monitoring of organisations working on European and volunteering projects. Support youth organisations carrying out youth exchanges, etc.
- Documentation. Gathering, selection of data, documents and information related with YiA and the EU.


3. Youth Space of Corrales, Youth Space for Youth Creation of Aljaraque and Centre GUADALINFO of Aljaraque.
These are the 3 resource centres available for young people. Their aim is to open dissemination and promotion channels for young creators: music, theatre, photography, painting, etc. and to provide them with resources and services to carry out their activities.


4. Municipal Toy Library:

Tasks of volunteers:
Collaboration and support tasks to entertainers and preparation of children's activities (story telling, theatre, sport games, workshops, etc.). Tasks of volunteers: support staff organising and preparing entertaining and training activities, help distributing and gathering material during activities, support in games with children, collaborate with language workshops or accompaniment to leaders in cultural visits. Time of participation: from Monday to Friday, from 11 am to 12 pm and from 4 to 9 pm.


Condições: Volunteers will live in a flat rented for them. We will try to ensure that they all get an individual room. The flat will have all needed devices.

Minors will be hosted in families. The municipal services will issue a report and we will choose families ensuring welfare and quality criteria.

The City Council of Aljaraque, as a public body, fulfils all health and security regulations to provide a secure environment, as well as the needed mechanisms for supervision, security and protection of volunteers, especially of minors. Minors will be requested to present a written authorisation from the people responsible for them before departure.
In any critical or conflictive situation, our staff will be available to help and support volunteers. Our organisation has qualified staff for such cases. Volunteers will have the needed phone numbers of mentor and municipal services (local police, guardia civil,...). we will carry out a course about prevention of risks, given by the Risk Prevention service.

We will request volunteers to bring their European health card and manage their AXA insurance and the adscription of a doctor at the Health Centre of Aljaraque.

Formação: Language and cultural training. This is a chance of continuous learning and cultural enrichment.
Volunteers may also develop their own skills during the project. Learning aims, related to the 8 key competences established in Youthpass:
Interpersonal, intercultural, social and civic skills, communication in the mother tongue and foreign languages, new technologies skills and training initiatives.

Training will be continuous and permanent, from the beginning to the end. They will also have mentorship sessions, with continuous monitoring to evaluate the project. The mentor will support volunteers, also in moments of crisis, with an external mediator. The volunteers have Internet available to them. They have also free access to all municipal activities.

The volunteers represent a cultural enrichment of our activities and for our beneficiaries, local community and participating organisations, as they are a life reference of EVS experiences. They can motivate other young people to participate.
The European volunteers will have the opportunity of learning about the culture of Andalusia: customs, gastronomy, traditions,... in an Andalusian village as Aljaraque, as well as living habits, fun, training,... of our young people. Therefore, there will be an exchange of intercultural experiences which will enrich learning of all parts.
