Resumo: Kindergarten is an educational institution which provides education, care and upbringing for kids aged 3-7 and supports their parents. The kindergarten has 13 classes, including 9 regular classes (with up to 25 kids in each) and 3 integration classes for kids with special educational needs and disabilities (up to 20 children in each). As a public kindergarten we follow regulations of Preschool Education Program. The buildings of our institution link novelty and tradition - 4 classes are located in 60 years old building with the playground and garden, and remaining 8 classes are fit in the new tenement house. The kondergarten is located close to the city centre and the river, and allows our staff to easily cooperate with public, cultural and NGO's.

Our kindergarten has its own logo and anthem. The logo - a house placed on a rainbow - in as important symbol and expresses our mission. The house symbolises natural and safe environment for kids to grow as well as the protection and care of adults. The rainbow stands for creativity, happiness, and cultural diversity. Moreover, some of our students come from families, which are in danger of social exclusion, so with aour work we wart to put some colours to their lives. Finally, as an integration kindergarten we respect the diversity of our students and teach them tolerance towards otherness.

The kindergarten participates in several programmes, such as:
- network of Health Promoting Kindergartens,
- a programme promoting non-olimpic sports and physical activity,
- a programme developing creativity and problem solving thinking,
- Chess in kindergarten,
- the INPP Developmental Movement Programme by dr Sally Goddard-Blythe,

In the kindergarten we also use original programmes written by our teachers:
- My emotions and I - a programmes which supports childern in understanding and expressing their emotions,
- Fine eating, fine speaking - a speech therapy programme,
- Eco-friendly kid - a programme concerning the matters of ecological lifestyle and sustainability,
- In the world of Polish fairy tale - a programme popularizing traditional Polish legends and stories.

In our work we use different methods: research methods, creativity trainings, experimental methods and Klanza method. We belive that artistic expression in important in children's development, so many classes concern painting, exprerimenting with different artistic techniques, singing, dancing and acting or performances. As kids with disabilities are important members of our community, special education teachers use methods to support their learning and development processes.
