Resumo: (Children)
Kindergarten is an educational institution that operates developing, caring and educating activities for children aged 3-6. The main objectives of our work are defined by Preschool Education Program. The institution offers over 60 places and is divided into 3 departments (groups), each consisting of 20-25 children. The kindergarten is located in a green area near the largest park. It occupies a two-storey detached house and is surrounded by the garden with playground. The location of the kindergarten enables the children a daily contact with nature through numerous walks, excursions and environmental observations.

We belong to a nationwide network of Health Promoting Kindergartens. We also realize our own programmes about health education.

We are not only the institution known for promoting healthy nutrition and putting stress on children’s direct contact with the nature. We are also recognised as a small, intimate home-like environment. Each group has its own dining room, living room and recreation room for younger children. This makes the premises condition very good. The space creates the opportunity to have fun and, if necessary, provides space for relaxation. Bright colorful interiors have a great effect on the well-being of children. Except for the classrooms our preschool offers speech therapist’s room, arts and crafts activity room, natural science room as well as the newly-established room for science experiments.

Our kindergarten provides children the opportunity to have fun and learn in safe and friendly conditions adapted to individual needs and abilities of children. For us every child is unique. We create conditions for harmonious development, help children to become independent and open to new experiences. We ensure that our preschool child gets the key to acquire knowledge, creative exploration and inspiration into action.

We use active methods of work e.g. research methods, experimental methods, Maria Montessori’s approach, Klanza method of fun and many others. We cooperate with institutions supporting the child’s development. We care about good relations with parents and the local community.

Perfil: - are 18 to 30 years old.
- have not done any European Voluntary Service / European Solidarity Corps project before.
- love working with children
- are creative and imaginative

- are responsible and trustworthy
- like working in big groups
- have a positive attitude to life and changes
- have some experience in scouting/voluntary work/baby-sitting
- are ready to work with/for the local community and to promote the project
- are able to do a medical check-up (necessary to work with children)
- are motivated to spend 10 months in Poland
- have a clean criminal record (certificate will be required)

Volunteers do not need to have any special qualifications to work with children, but some experience in the field is essential. They should be ready to work with a big group of kids for a long period of time, have good interpersonal skills and basic knowledge of the development and needs of primary school and pre-school children.
An interest in sports, art, dancing, theatre, circus tricks or music would be an advantage, because those classes are very appreciated by our pupils. Participants are expected to be open and ready to share own ESC experience with the local community during different events (picnics, festivals, conferences, workshops).
The candidate must be aware that he/she is applying for a project during the Covid 19 epidemic. This may include e.g the need for quarantine, the use of a face mask or gloves at work and outside. The volunteer will be obliged to comply with the restrictions of sanitary services in Poland.
